Would I run same spacers as you if I had 73 mm bottom bracket, what do the spacers do.

If you have a 68mm shelf run 2 spacers drive side, and 1 non drive side. 73 just run 1 drive side. Crank manufacturers will design the length of the spindle (going though the BB) for their desired chain line (angle of the chain towards the cassette) to optimize shifting. That’s why a non boost bike will have a different crank spindle length compared to a boost bike, even though they use the same BB shell size. It’s just about taking up the free play so you can adjust the BB correct. Hope that makes sense, thanks Len

awesome video thanks man. is there any chance you could do one on how to service this bottom bracket's bearings?

Most BB’s are non serviceable, meaning you can grease the cranks and dust shields but once they wear out you just replace them. Some really high end BB’s (enduro) have replacable bearings but the initial cost is very high. TBH most BB’s these days are s**t, especially Sram Dub. Thanks Len

@@garage31 oh okay guess there's no chance you could do a video on swapping the bearings? all good if not. ya man i've noticed that too about many bike parts. i could swear even my bearings on my 02 norco shore never once needed replacing. forks never needed servicing etc.

@@aimlessdrive8723 true. I mean for me personally I was hucking huge dirt jump lines with almost vert lips, and road gaps just fine for many years and didn't feel even a slight difference. from what I remember I didn't even have my shocks or forks serviced in that time. my frame ended up cracking eventually though lol. i dont see how some people can actually notice something so small. ya out here saint bottom brackets go for like $100 unless you meant the bearings. I'm still confused on that part lol.

Do You think it's necesary to use a torque tool for adjusting the bb?

Would it be the same amount of spacers for redline pl26 if the bb measures 68mm?

TBH I have no idea about BMX, but I would think the measurements would crossover. Sorry Len
