I would be absolutely delighted if I went out for a nice walk in the morning and ran into someone walking with their cat. Like, running into nice people with friendly dogs is great, but the unexpectedness of running into someone with a cat is just especially delightful. Billi is, as always, a 15/10 in every video. A born star; we love our queen!
I walk my neighbour’s cat when my neighbour is out of town… we definitely get looks and comments. Everyone sees the handsome guy in the floof tuxedo, but in his heart he knows he’s a wild beast.
I've owned both a harness trained rabbit and a harness trained cat! The rabbit got a lot of attention even though she never left our neighborhood, and the cat made me climb trees with him, but both were a joy to go outside with. My current cat does fine with a harness but not with being outdoors, unfortunately
Oh, I've talked to other Cat Walkers and so it isn't just me and my cat, but the general experience is that cats don't like 'making scenes' in front of strangers, and so if you were arguing with your cat on where to go, well, if another person comes into sight then suddenly that cat is very obliging. But if you are joined by another person, well, cats can be very judgmental. Once my cat and I were joined by a young lady who was probably impressed with me because I was a bachelor who owned a cool car, and my cat HATED her. My cat would suddenly want to cross the road, and so I would say "Careful about Cars" and we would dash across. The Girl would follow. Then my cat would want to cross back. Okay. Then the girl would follow. I was beginning to laugh. The girl finally asked what WE were doing. I told her that the Cat felt that eventually "you" would take the hint and quit following us. Then the girl said something that still makes me laugh: "Who's more important? Me or that Cat?" Heck, I should have asked her what she was planning to do for me to make herself so important.
Billi: "Aha! A descendant of the Velociraptor, my people's most ancient of foes! I would engage you in single combat, you foul...erm...fowl! We have a cat that had to have all her teeth removed due to feline stomatitis. (She's much happier without them.) She loves to just gum the grass we have growing for them. I think she just likes the feel of the grass.
Yeah, I think I almost killed one of my cats with medical neglect. It looked like her lips were curled and THAT should have told me she had an abscess but I was too dumb to add it up. Then she got sick and I didn't know what it was. There was blood on the floor but I have six cats and so I didn't know what happened to whom. Then Nora got better. Then one time she yawned and I noticed she lost both fangs. Yeah, her problematic teeth had fallen out, and just in time... I thought she was going to die she lost so much weight. But now she's back. I also have a cat that loves walking with me, she's been walking with me since she was very young, we mostly do the same route. I don't use a harness, but she follows me. She is 9 years old now and I've noticed this same behaviour recently. She just can't make it home without stopping and resting for a while on our way back. This was not the case when she was younger so I atribute it to her being older and needing to rest more often. She needs just a couple of minutes and then she continues. So Billi could just be tired and not misbehaving. 😇💖
I like the optimism! She had plenty of energy to turn around and do another lap the first time she refused though, so I’m pretty sure she’s just being naughty 😹
@@BilliSpeaks My old cat, Spices, used to wait at the door and make a mad dash whenever anyone opened it. I lived on a busy street at the time, and he'd go tearing off down the sidewalk. After a short while, he'd flop over and I'd have to carry him home. He thought that was the funnest game ever.
Oh, that makes me miss a cat I had decades ago. He'd walk with me, off leash because nobody back then put cats on a leash. We'd go to the neighborhood store, the park, just anywhere. And like me, he'd look both ways before crossing the street and always used the crosswalk when it was available. He was so smart. His favorite trick was pretending to not see stray dogs coming down the street. They'd get all excited thinking they were going to get to chase a cat, but when it was too late, they learned they were the ones who were getting chased. If he caught one, he'd ride it like a buckaroo breaking in a wild horse.
Aww, I’m so happy that Billi has you for a mama. Most people don’t take their cats out for nature walks! But I’m so glad that you do. It’s obvious just how much Billi loves to go outside and see and smell all that nature has to offer. I did feel quite sorry for her when your walk had come to an end. Poor Billi didn’t want her fun adventure to finish! It’s every woman’s prerogative to have a strop every once in a while, and Billi is no different! We all want to get our own way! I absolutely adored this video Kendra. Ever since seeing yours and Billi’s adventures from your driving holiday, this has been my favourite video. What’s not to love?! A long video ✔️ Billi going on an adventure ✔️ seeing Billi enjoy herself ✔️ the obligatory Billi strop when she doesn’t want her adventure to end ✔️ All in all, the perfect Billi video! Thanks Kendra! 🙏🏼
My cat loved this video too xD He sat on my desk and scratch my screen when you played with Billi like he was playing with her. My screen is fine btw, he didn't use his claws xD
“Mother, I have warned you before, that I expect your FULL attention, putting on one of the mechanical contrivances is not enough if you are not watching me be cute and athletic.” “Mother, Tomorrow we hunt CHICKEN! But you may have to chew it up for me.”
I have to laugh, I really do. We own chickens and my baby was the only one with permission to leave the house (We tried the other two and they were just not into it)... She investigated the chickens once for all of about thirty seconds before deciding they weren't worth her time. Conversely, the chickens were *very* interested in this supposed predator in their backyard and would follow her around the porch whenever she came outside. This became especially funny when we picked up a couple brahmas that were quite literally larger than her. I have seen few things more humorous than watching an 8lb bird lumber after a 5lb cat.
Hehe when you are playing with her with the worm I had to restrain myself from calling out "Get it! Bite it! Kill it! That's right tear it to pieces!" Like I do when I play with my girl and her worm. 😂
My cat Tasha got so angry that she had to come inside one time that she slapped me on the cheek. Open paw, nails sheathed so no intention to scratch me or hurt me. Just a very quick whack on the cheek and a squawk of displeasure at being picked up and taken inside. She had never been that angry with me before or after. I typically let her work through going back inside at her own pace but that day she was stubborn about coming in and I was in a hurry as I had to leave. She just wanted to express her discontent at being taken into the house sooner than she wanted so I didn’t get upset. It didn’t hurt but it shocked me pretty good because I didn’t expect it. She was my first cat and was 18 at her sunset. I miss her dearly. ♥️
I love Billi and your stories. I crackled down as Billi refuses to go back to the car. When I walk with my cats (no harness, no leach) and they are too tired or just want to rest for a while, I go slowly down the way knowing that they will come and follow me.
good to know my cats aren't the only ones who try the 'I'm too tired to go on ;-;' approach when its time to head home. my oldest has been walking on a leash for years, but this year I started training my second oldest (I have four cats, the two youngest don't trust me enough yet for me to feel comfortable taking them out). he used to be afraid of his own tail, but he's come so far in facing his fears and not panicking that I finally started training him with little 10 minute visits to the backyard. and he has started getting real sassy when its time to go in haha! he even tried the cutest sweetest hiss I've ever seen this side of a newborn kitten today.
I was glad I wasn't drinking anything when you were carrying her out and put the quote "Mad" up for Billi. I just about lost it and totally would've spewed everywhere, out of control 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"But Mom! The squirrel!! It CHIRPED at me!! It was only natural that Billi did not want to go home after she saw the squirrel...it is the same all over the world. Squirrels are the archenemies of cats. They look si tasty, but are almost impossible to catch...
Omg…she so reminds me of my “Peepers”, who had just a little more pink on the left side of her face, but I had to look at an old photo to confirm it. They could have been twins right down to the nuances of their markings. Thank you for publishing these vids. You bring back so many wonderful memories. (But, she would never wear a harness. Nope. She became instantly crippled or paralyzed and would only be dragged…sigh….) Thank you!
What an adventure! It's a beautiful piece of nature you have there. No wonder Billi doesn't want to leave. Poor baby got so *M A D* about it. Why were there chickens, though?
Why do cats chirp when they're stalking? It seems kind of counter-intuitive when you wanna be stealthy, doesn't it? 😅 And oh my gosh the "omg" stare when she saw the chicken was so cute. 😂 The "squeaking ferret" giggle was also very cute. 🤣
Omg! I love St. Augustine! It looks so quaint from my sister’s old photos(roughly 25ish years ago)! It is the oldest city in the United States! 🙏🕯🕊🐕🌸👙👑💒🎆
I walk my cat on a leash and he does the exact same things. Will actually sit down and roll and sometimes hiss if I bring him in earlier than he is ready.
When Billi had a fit when you made her leave the park, she was probably thinking, "Where's that frigging "no" button when I need it the most?!" BTW, I loved the video, please bring us more outdoor adventures with Billi!
😂guess wat, my cat n I watch tis video, n last part where the rooster is....when video stop....I m not sure if I hear it wrongly or not😂my cat swallowed his saliva 😅😂
I used to take my cat on a walk around our yard on a leash and Billi's lizard hunting really reminded me how he (my cat) was really good at hunting mice even when on a leash (which was about as long as Billi's leash), like the same movements and expressions. I really miss him.
That hiss had absolutely no threat to it. She knows she can communicate effectively with you so the claws and teeth don't have reason to come out hardly at all.
It’s reassuring to see a not-too-serious hiss. The first and second times my cat hissed at me she was proper upset (first time I smelled of unneutered Tomcat, oops. 2nd time she’d hurt herself and I was trying to check her). So whenever she grumpy-hisses at me, it worries me. Your interraction with Billi when she hissed at you is reassuring - I can see a hiss does not always mean serious upset.
🤣 I love this. 'Billi goes to the zoo.' That's lovely you let her walk toward the car rather than immediate picking up- you're a model pet parent. (no sarcasm, truly)

She was tearing the floor up! She really made the most of her workout!
A long video ✔️ Billi going on an adventure ✔️ seeing Billi enjoy herself ✔️ the obligatory Billi strop when she doesn’t want her adventure to end ✔️
All in all, the perfect Billi video! Thanks Kendra! 🙏🏼
In lieu of actually having a cat I greatly enjoy watching Billi play and get out of the house every once in awhile.
My cat loved this video too xD He sat on my desk and scratch my screen when you played with Billi like he was playing with her. My screen is fine btw, he didn't use his claws xD
I love the expression this cat always has on her face
“Mother, I have warned you before, that I expect your FULL attention, putting on one of the mechanical contrivances is not enough if you are not watching me be cute and athletic.”
“Mother, Tomorrow we hunt CHICKEN! But you may have to chew it up for me.”
Billi wishing that “ mad” button was their when you told her time to go lol
Billi: Play, play!
Mom: Yes, Billi, play *soon*.
Billi: Help, help, I'm being repressed!
A Billie and Monty Python crossover! 😹 Love it. And that really does suit her reaction.
😹😹😹
When you wanna be a mighty lizard hunter, but your mom says no :(
Hehe when you are playing with her with the worm I had to restrain myself from calling out "Get it! Bite it! Kill it! That's right tear it to pieces!" Like I do when I play with my girl and her worm. 😂
I saw someone suggesting the shoulder thing last time, nice that you tried it!
She sounds like quite the kitty! 💕
Lmfao Billi does more with her days than I do! Love adventures! Love her all wide eyed on your shoulder looking spooked but protected by her Momma 🥺😇🖤
Cat protests are the funniest.
I love that Billi is so engaged in life.
Chicken: I say, I say, I say there, I say, I think, I say I saw a puddy-tat!
Billi: Stomps on imaginary MAD! Button.
I love how big her eyes are. She's just so curious, soaking it all in.
I was glad I wasn't drinking anything when you were carrying her out and put the quote "Mad" up for Billi. I just about lost it and totally would've spewed everywhere, out of control 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
6:33 I think you meant pawsive resistance
Damn! Missed pawportunity!
Based on the scientific method of watching many cat videos haha, I think some cats really like to have co-op play with their human.
She’s looking good! Nice weight, and her coat is super shiny again!
"But Mom! The squirrel!! It CHIRPED at me!!
It was only natural that Billi did not want to go home after she saw the squirrel...it is the same all over the world. Squirrels are the archenemies of cats. They look si tasty, but are almost impossible to catch...
Billi's ability to keep her tail covering her backside when its facing the camera is just amazing. 🤣😁👍
I genuinely thought Billi was just flopping over and being a lazy cat until she hissed. She REALLY didn't want to leave lmao.
Billi loves playing with her worm. So cute! Chai and I love you Billi. Don't ever change.
What a great outing! Such a great mom! Such an adventurous Billie!
What an adventure! It's a beautiful piece of nature you have there. No wonder Billi doesn't want to leave.
Poor baby got so *M A D* about it.
Why were there chickens, though?
Billi deserves all the love
Why do cats chirp when they're stalking? It seems kind of counter-intuitive when you wanna be stealthy, doesn't it? 😅
And oh my gosh the "omg" stare when she saw the chicken was so cute. 😂
The "squeaking ferret" giggle was also very cute. 🤣
Saint Augustine grass is tough to chaw on even if you have all your molars. Lots of silica content.
Omg! I love St. Augustine! It looks so quaint from my sister’s old photos(roughly 25ish years ago)! It is the oldest city in the United States! 🙏🕯🕊🐕🌸👙👑💒🎆
I love watching you guys go out for these amazing walks. 🥰 I can't even step outside in my own front yard without the neighbors being jerks.
Billi's tail is so fluffy! I love it!
That was absolutely delightful! Billi is a wonderful pet (as far as I can see!).
She’s a dream 😻
@@BilliSpeaks I am SO very glad!
Lmao aweee that little hiss. She really wanted to stay.
I love the longer videos. Billi is so cute in her nature walk with mom. And the worm toy I couldn’t help but giggle.
I walk my cat on a leash and he does the exact same things. Will actually sit down and roll and sometimes hiss if I bring him in earlier than he is ready.
You are the best cat Mom, and Billi has the best cat life.
Her protests are so cute!
I forget that she has the ability to vocalize her feelings.
Mommy made billi hiss and meow😤
I love to see Billi playing & having outdoor adventures. You two are so good together! 💞💖
This vid was super relaxing: the views, & the star, Billi!
She’s the cutest
Billi is a sassy lil girl. She loves those sit ins.
When Billi had a fit when you made her leave the park, she was probably thinking, "Where's that frigging "no" button when I need it the most?!" BTW, I loved the video, please bring us more outdoor adventures with Billi!
Hissing at Mom! Billi! Omgosh.
All these videos make my heart go happy billi!
That nature preserve was really cool and it looked really big! My cat used to be annoyed about having to go back inside too.
Billi is one special girl kitty! Thanks for sharing her with us
Poor Billi is doing what I did at the playground when I was a toddler. I didn't want to leave and I would always make a scene
I love how she didn't want to play with the robot she wanted to play with you. That's so adorable.
You give Billi such a delightful life!
I love the blog like videos, this really makes my week when you guys go on adventures! Much love ❤️🥰
Happy Billie plus happy Mom equals binge watch time!
*Billi. Sorry, my phone won’t let me edit.
It's so cute that she seems to think she can take down that rooster, but something tells me she's much better off this way!
😂guess wat, my cat n I watch tis video, n last part where the rooster is....when video stop....I m not sure if I hear it wrongly or not😂my cat swallowed his saliva 😅😂
That rooster was laughing at ya Billi, lol.
Billis temper tantrum was very funny, thanks for the billi video!!
I used to take my cat on a walk around our yard on a leash and Billi's lizard hunting really reminded me how he (my cat) was really good at hunting mice even when on a leash (which was about as long as Billi's leash), like the same movements and expressions. I really miss him.
So dang smart & cute! Einstein Billy
Billi on shoulder looks so cute.
Its endearing to watch Mom help Billi down the "leery" hallway.
Such a sweet cat/human relationship 💕🐾
'Billi goes to the zoo.'
That's lovely you let her walk toward the car rather than immediate picking up- you're a model pet parent. (no sarcasm, truly)
I don't want to go - vs - I don't want leave. So sweet.
Lmao she’s like no!! I no leave park!! Leave me HERE!!!!
Yes this longer video gives viewers more time to take in Billis antics what a girl
You've trained Billi to express needs and wants, and Billy has trained you to provide them when she wants. 😁
