    I was wondering, if any of you know how to make red paste from the blossom petals which can be used to as Bindi (Telugu-bottu) to be applied on the forehead.
    Just curious, if anyone has tried this alternative.

    Question: How does one handle the really tender and small florets towards the centre? Can we just leave them as is or throw them out since it is not possible to access the stamen.

    Wait, where did "leftover banana boiling water" come from at 4:44 ? I'm pretty sure you never mentioned the banana blossom was boiled first. Was it? I assumed it was fresh off the tree.
    My apologies if I missed something.

      I also could not make out where that water came from. Her reply did not help. 👎

    • @BerlinerinToni
      @BerlinerinToni 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      OK, I have found it. At 3:10, after she cuts up all the blossoms, she says "I have cut it, and we have to boil it in a cooker" (then something I can't understand). But the pot of cooking water is not shown, which honestly would have been helpful. If you weren't listening carefully, you will have missed it (as I did the first 3 times I watched this).

    • @invisiblesquirrel1
      @invisiblesquirrel1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      she has mentioned that it's the water left over when you boil the flowers in the pressure cooker. that's to be strained, kept aside, and put in the curry later.
