Music is a precious gift that enriches our lives in many ways. Its ability to translate emotions into something physical is a fascinating mystery that continues to be studied by scientists. Listening to music can make us feel good, help us express ourselves and connect with others. Amazing as always Baba!!!
I can only say amen to that, I fully agree!! thank you so much for the kind words, Marcus! 💜 I hope the warmer season is slowly beginning in your parts -- here almond trees are blossoming already! 🌳🌸🌸🌸🌸
The music and the Rudolf Bauer artwork complement each other perfectly. Love this piece. Cheryl Pyle's flute playing is extrordinary. A real treat to listen to you all. 👏👏🎶🎶😊😊
thanks so much, LV! yeah, I also feel something really clicked between the three of us -- but, of course, Cheryl & Max have been playing together for a while, so that certainly explains the chemistry!
A wonderful piece Urbuli, it made me picture myself walking through the bush contemplating things past and present. The art and story is thought provoking, great stuff mate
A lovely tribute to Bauer - I don’t know their work, but you three really captured the spirit of the movement within the chosen images! Lovely collaboration - it felt like you were all in the same studio together, great mix on it
Oh thanks a lot, TS, I'm glad you appreciated the mix too, it means I must have gotten a bit better at it! (next step: using proper professional software -- I'm still using audacity for all my recordings, because it's free & that's the only one I've taught myself to use, sigh... 😅)
@ haha sorry i meant "häper" (but with the little circle above the "a", it's not on my keyboard!) - isn't it the Norwegian word for "hope"?😅 haha, I'm lousy at it, the only way i get to pratice whatever little knowledge I (used to) have is by playing Duolingo! 😇

many thanks again, Fred! Do you and Cheryl know each other by any chance? the world of free jazz flute music must be relatively small, i should expect! :P
Again, it's nice to hear you in another ensemble context. Cheryl's playing is great, almost reminiscent of an older "new music" era, and, I must admit, I love hearing intervallic stacks of 4ths as well as flutter-tonguing on flute. Max and you laid down the mood just right for this piece. Overall, excellent work!
Thanks so much, Karl! I agree, I personally hear something a bit Eric Dolphy-esque in her playing; I love those flutter-tonguing effects too! Actually, on mixing the track after receiving Cheryl's contribution (Max and I recorded ours first), i was oddly reminded of Boulez' Le Marteau sans Maître, which also contains some beautiful flute motifs played in that characteristic "fragmentary" serialist style...
Excellent! What a great collab, featuring all-star masters! I can hear a double-bass too, what's the trick? is someone hidden or is it another guitar track mixed in a way it feels like you guys are in quartet? Awesome tune anyway!!
@@antoinealma Cheers, it's all Max's doing! you can check out his other pieces on other modernist painters from the same ongoing series on his channel, they're great! 👌👌
Fabulous collaboration - great improv with excellent musical craftsmanship and creativity ... love the artwork as well 🙂
Many thanks, really appreciate it! Bauer was a great artist!
Bellissima collaborazione: gioiosa, colorata, fantasiosa... proprio come i dipinti di Bauer!
tante grazie Calogero! 💜💜
Abstract pics & sound art, cool!

this is really quite exquisite work, and a relevant protest.
Thanks, Roger! we really enjoyed working together!
