Jenna Coleman is the voice of Melia in both Xenoblade Chronicles and Future Connected even though her voice is different in the latter. Perhaps her voice changed in the ten years since Xenoblade Chronicles was released in Europe. I originally thought Melia was voiced by a different actress until I see the ending credits for Future Connected.
Melia is such a strong soul! She practically lost her entire family and still pushed through.

So either this fog king has something to do with that game’s world, or disruptions to the rift flung that one into a random point in time and space and it happened to end up there.
Also I think more than one went in that rift, so the later theory may be true and the others were scattered throughout space and time as well.

The Fog King seems to have a lot in common with Guldos' and transformed Lao's appearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles X respectively.

My theory is that the next installment (if there is one) is gonna be a blend of two and one, finally connecting them canonically, or something to close xenoblade x. There’s a comment somewhere down that talks about a telethia entering the rift, and how there was only one telethia in x. They dont look the same, but the concept is there, what with elma also apparently being a high entia?

I think the next game is either going to be a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles X or it's going to connect all three since there is a theory that the Fog King is connected to Xenoblade Chronicles X and if that is true than the all three takes place in different dimensions so that it would make sense to connect them all.
About the Rift and Gael’Gar, it sounds like a Lovecraftian cult helping one of Lovecraft’s monsters to enter the world, violently preparing it for a new world.

The story was a bit on the weak side, but it had some great character moments. I'm glad Melia got a mostly happy ending. Also I was surprised how much I liked Kino and Nene

Its so interesting how similar the shoulder is to the beta map from the Wii
Gran Dell and the cliff where Egil and Arglas bonded are also in the Wii map.
Because it is the same place. They actually used that map for future connected since it was cut from the original game and the place works for an isolated story. Originally you were supposed to get there from frontier village - it is only place in the game you get teleported to the next area, after all.

Whenever a piece of media gets an epilogue theirs a risk of the epilogue undermining the old ending and creating a new endpoint that hurts the overall story. Future connected did not do that and I love the games new endpoint

At the end, during the fog king fight? Was it just me, or did the model underneath all of that dark fog look like a chimeroid from X? If so, they might be setting XCX2.

I don’t think Bionis was destroyed
Shulk reformed his universe when he made his wish to Monado Alvis. Most of the fallen remains of the bionis became a solid landmass in the new world (you can see its hand and head sticking out of the water in the original storys ending).
Shulk used the power of the Monado to recreate the world with parts of the Bionis and the fallen arm to create land masses.
The shoulder was not effected because it did not collapse with the rest of the Bionis because it was made of floating stones.
Bits of Bionis and Mechonis that are lying around.
Also, it’s a planet now with a proper star and not just an infinite sea.
Here I was hoping for some inclination for why Melia goes crazy and becomes the merciless queen of Keves in the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Melia fans eating well with this dlc.

So... does Future Connected take place in Aionios technically?
Short answer, no
Aionios is the combination of the first two Xenoblade worlds, and she is only in her world right now.
SPOILER ANSWER:
This happened before the two worlds collided. This is evident because we can obviously see another Earth in the first cutscene of Xenoblade 3 (the clocktower cutscene where time stops and Noah watches the world end). No annihilation events have occurred yet, which seemed to happened upon the immediate creation of Aionios to restore the natural order of the world (its like compensating for how time is stopped). Also, Origin hasn't been created yet, since this takes place only 1 year after the events of Xenoblade Chronicles. Melia has no idea of the existence of Nia's world yet, she only has an ill premonition of complete destruction. I think it is also suggested that Shulk and companions have already died, just from the way she refers to them in her side quest and from the ending cutscene where the Monado REX is hanging on the wall.
thank goodness for this upload because I honeslty could not be arsed going through a 10+ hour epilogue before moving on to XC3! xD

It is an option in the main menu; it is essentially it's own DLC pack like Torna was in 2.
@@grungehamster except it doesn't cost anything extra. Buy the game, fc is already there, though they are nice enough to warn you about seeing the end of the game and recommend that you at least finish the main story beforehand. You don't _have_ to beat the main game to play fc right away, but they'd prefer if you did. For context and all that. And plus you won't be as big of a floundering fool trying to figure out the battle system as a complete newb. Particularly if you never played xenoblade chronicles 2; I personally believe that playing that helped me digest 1's battle system better. Before, the ui for it looked intimidating and overwhelming, and as stupid as it sounds, made me unwilling to buy the game sooner...because I would have to deal with that clunky looking system for 10's of hours, or even 100 hours. Yeah...no. But I'm so glad I waited, so happy they updated the thing I had the biggest gripe with. And the quests. Although the only thing I wished they added was if you got a collectable from a monster, it would be in its description: time of day, weather, location (nearest skip travel point for reference, general area if you haven't found the specific point) or what monster dropped it. Rare items would be ? until you receive said item or trade with someone who has it in their inventory. And speaking of, overtrade items should've been listed at least for each person you overtraded with. Would've slimmed down online time looking up stuff for colony 6 or random quests

Well, the Monado/Monado ll was reclaimed by Zanza and Shulk sacrificed the Monado lll to create the new world. If you’re referring to the Replica Monado, I have no idea. I don’t get why he doesn’t have it here.

When you think some Melia x Shulk shipping arrived , only turns out pure friendship . So why even Future Connect exist ? I mean the reason they made this part is because fans wanted to see something romantic happening between shulk and Melia . I don't know the purpose of the interaction between them , even Dunban can easily substitute Shulk in this story .
亂世者 I don't think this was intended to be a Melia x Shulk storyline. The reason Melia is there compared to other party members is because it makes sense why she is there. Melia goes to the Bionis Shoulder in order to both see the High Entia Capital again and save any High Entia survivors within there. It also expands her character on becoming the leader of the High Entia and the challenges she has to face to lead her people effectively which is a concept that we have not seen in the base game. The reason Shulk is there is simply because he is the main character, nothing more to it.
Shulk is there to represent the game as the main character, having her on her own wouldn't make that much sense, you could say he's there for emotional support. FC isn't his story, his story is done, Melia's isn't. The extra story revolves around her and the future of the High Entia. There is no romance, it's not even fan service, just an epilogue to Melia's arc and maybe a possible connection to future games to come.
Futures Connected is meant to wrap up the main loose ends from the main game, and that was Melia’s character arc, her relationship with Tyrea, and their shared role in leading the High Entia back from the brink - How their “futures are connected.” Shulk, Kino, and Nene, are just here for the ride. Plus, marketing reasons. (He’s the main character and face of the franchise.)
As far as the Shulk/Melia ship is concerned. Whatever chance there was of that happening was dead in the water the moment Fiora came back. We all knew it. Even Melia knew it, that’s why she gave up and decided to let Shulk and Fiora be happy together, never telling Shulk a word about her own feelings.
Futures Connected takes place a year after the main game. By this point, she will have moved on and accepted that they’re just friends. Plus, that is *hardly* important and has nothing to the task at hand.
Finish Melia’s story and possibly tie into a potential Xenoblade Chronicles 3. That’s it.

xenoblade 2 also has bad voice acting, i think after the original xenoblade or xenoblade x the voice direction changed. or its just the voice actor because shes older.

@@samreddig8819 it's not that her voice is deeper, but it just sounds like all the voice actors in future connected were kinda whispering their lines a bit. It's like they weren't in a good sound recording studio and their voices seem kinda muffled, even adam howden is like this for a bit. but it wasn't that big of a deal cuz i love these characters, Melia best girl, and the story was perfect!
