I first watched spinal tap when I was like 15 and I didn’t get it. Just rewatched it a couple of days ago and really some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever seen. Very subtle humor.
For anyone interested in the music theory, those 2 notes he plays are called a tritone which is the famous "devils interval" from medieval times because is sounds very dissonant and "evil". Today that dissonant interval can be heard in a lot of modern metal music, and heavy genres like dubstep and DNB....and of course Indonesian folk.
