- The densely populated island of Migingo, on Lake Victoria, is barely a quarter of a hectare large, its residents crammed into a hodge-podge of corrugated-iron homes. There's little else but a few bars, brothels and a tiny port. Nevertheless for over a decade Migingo has been a source of tension between Uganda and Kenya, who have been unable to decide to whom it really belongs.

It could be better if the two gvmnt can join force together and make these ppl's lives better. Starting by building may be an infrastructure that would allow them who are there to fish and live in a decent way. As they managed to live in peace already together all they need it help and not a dispute

Ugandan president museveni admitted that the land belongs to Kenya.Ugandans have invaded the island because they want the fish which a resource.We have no problem with sharing because we are neighbors but ugandan forces keep arresting Kenyan fishermen on Kenyan soil and thereby causing a rise in tensions.

It should be divided into two equal parts. These makeshift should be demolished and state of the art fishing facilities should be made. High rise building should be constructed to provide good living environment to the fishermen
@Mwaniki Mwaniki I don't know but what I can see from the structure it is quite attractive and one can make fortune out of this with mind and money. 5 star hotel and a picnic spot for tourists on the island and on the mainland could provide more than what they are earning today
High-rise building, it's an island...My idea Colonial houses could be built on this Island, and a great culture and knowledge about both countries could meet and create a place with museums, churches, schools, Whitehouse, and fishermen sharing a house to live in. Little ideas or places and big dreams come into reality.
