Stevie was always my favorite wrestler in ECW. And it's nice to know twenty years later he is a humble, kind, funny, and healthy person. He looks so good. Rare in professional wrestling.
@frank bonini yep Jerry is a non drinker and looks healthy for his age for sure apart from the Botox. It's funny I'm 46 and went to a school reunion a few months ago and you could tell the party girls. They all looked rough for their age. Drugs and alcohol definitely age you imo.
I always liked Stevie Richards! He totally got Sgt Slaughter over when the Sarge returned. He showed such respect to the Sarge!! Thx Stevie, that was awesome!!
Love ya Stevie, always respected you, and you always entertained us. The first time I ever saw ECW on our local station in NC was when you and Meanie were doing some rock concert thing in the ring, was hooked ever since.
He seems like a cool, laidback funny guy. Sad that these wrestling companies buried him. He has the talent and skills to be something great. I liked when they teamed him up with Victoria and Right To Censor was epic...it brought something different and new to wrestling. I would like to meet Stevie one day.
I met Stevie a while back in a local show, and honestly he's the coolest guy , through out the entire show he kept coming up to me and asking me if I liked the show
Stevie is an intelligent and respectable individual. He's the type of wrestler that SHOULD be getting a big push. He had a shit gimmick in ECW and still made it entertaining despite having to be a tv "lacky" wearing short cut off shorts and a goofy gimmick. The guy can flat out wrestle, always kept in good condition, tried to learn along the way, and had athleticism. IMO he could've been just as successful as any big time star in WWE had he been utilized properly.
God bless Steven Richards, he's a transparent man. Also, poor DDP! If you watch his shoots, he says, "when Savage was in WCW, he would just land on you!", also he pissed blood because of that, maybe Macho Man wasn't such a decent guy after all.
There was no Royal Rumble in 2004. It doesn't exist. And at Wm20 the World Championship mysteriously disappeared for a little bit until Randy randomly got it. Weird
I'm really hoping someone can actually upload a full segment or two from this interview at some point. It seems like an interesting shoot to me and I've heard Stevie actually made negative comments about The Undertaker in this interview. Which is odd to me since people usually speak highly of Taker
thetoon99 i know paul london said taker was a guy who pulled him aside and commended him for his demeanor in the locker room. London said with sarcasm geez thanks somewhere along the line their first shoot interview they really went in depth about undertaker and how he made people kiss his ass
thetoon99 how taker made it seem it was a big deal to gain his respect. London and Kendrick hated how people constantly kissed his ass and how taker relished in it. They do not like him at all. the only people they truly liked were oralndo jordan, jimmy wang yang, benoit, hardcore holly, randy orton and sometimes batista
thetoon99 well taker doesn't have to walk around like his shit doesn't stink to be honest. they showed respect but they also were not gonna kiss ass like other people. You'll have to look up "paul london and brian kendrick excellent adventure". It was a great shoot very insightful. they were obviously not disrespectful people if they had the respect of benoit, batista, and a few other respected guys in the locker room even if some of them were not main event wrestlers. But what they say about Taker is tamed compared what they say about HHH and Vince. its a fun video to watch its long but not sure if you will find it for free. I bought it but that was 2 years ago, totally not a waste of my money. if you are into shoot interviews i would definitely purchase it. Some moments are just for laughs but A LOT is insightful for ten bucks it was worth it.
if steven Richards would have came to wwe with the Dr stevie gimmick he woulda gotten so much more over in the 90's that gimmick fit him so well steven richards deserve better
he's not dead and cut him some slack, the right to censor and his alliance with kronik is just part of the act. he's been through alot and deffinatly when he found his friend crash holly dead while he had him over at his home
Richards didn't die, Some Random Prisoner Escape & Kill his Wife & Son, then Accidentally Killed himself with a Dumbell, The Dad(Steve over here) Nearly Escaped Death.
The thing is though, he was such a great color commentator. I will probably get heat for saying that, but I don't know why. He was an EXCELLENT color commentator who had great chemistry with Michael Cole on SmackDown from 2002 to whenever he left. I absolutely loved his style of calling matches. It's sort of disappointing to hear that he was an asshole behind the scenes because you'd think his tough guy gimmick was just a gimmick.
who were markedly different, whether it was in ring style, promo's, or the kind of matches they would have, or their look would be pushed on, or blackballed for not having the WWE style and/or having a big head coming into the WWE before making their name there. I think Taz kind of learned what that was like throught that experience because that happened to him. Taz in TNA and Taz in WWE may have disliked somebody or even held grudges against them the exact way he did in ECW, but he didn't
Good lord this one seems awesome. I trained with Crash for about a year got to know him pretty well. He died in Stevie's house. Does he talk about Mike in this shoot?
Hang on, has Stevie been doing an impersonation of Johnny Ace for his whole career because he did not sound like Stevie Richards in this interview. You must all know what I'm talking about? I'm a big fan of Stevie and while I knew he would never get his due in WWE, I still can't believe when they gave him a year long losing streak on WWE's ECW and then actually brought it up on commentary when he finally won a match. That's how you bury a guy after putting him over!
Right to Censor was a great gimmick and Stevie was a great talent even if it was just to annoy the shit out of you and get his ass kicked. Good worker, hope he is doing well.
Alright... EVERYTHING about this preview is wrong. It should be about 1/4 as long as it is... but with the actual questions and then the answers so that you at least know what the hell is going on. Either than or half as long as it is with some sort of text overlay that says "Stevie Richards on: Problems with Taz". Half the time would be spent on the text overlay the other half on the sound bytes. The problem I have with RFVideos is that there's ZERO production value. Why pay for that?
Man, I never thought I'd see smarks crying about the "lost potential" of Steven Richards (aka "that one guy from the BWO") of all people. TH-cam is truly a bizarre place.
maybe to some people but all the guys that had a problem with him them love him now. Young guys in TNA are complaining about Taz for different reasons than new guys were complaining about Taz in ECW. In ECW it was more of a totem pole issue where Taz is giving you shit as you enter the company in reality but in his own mind its because he's a veteran of the business. Kind of like how in 01,02,03 and Sadly in tragic irony 99, 00 for Taz himself, when workers who got over from different places
masters? "oh yeah what would you call it? how to lose 40lbs in 2 weeks?" it was chris masters during eric bischoff's wwf book coming out. DX hunter was talking to hbk about it.
Conrado Javier "In 2011, Manna pitched a perfect game in the MLB 2K11 video game. A promotional contest offered a million dollars to the first person to accomplish this, but because Manna did so before the contest officially started, he did not win the money." 2K has been fucking over Stevie for years.
I thought it was hilarious too, I don't understand why people get mad over it. Maybe because it had something to do with Masters having to get off steroids, and perhaps because a lot of fans blame Triple H for ruining Masters career even though he had nothing to do with it. But then a lot of fans like to throw all the blame on Triple H. He's a popular scapegoat which is bull-crap.
Stevie was always my favorite wrestler in ECW. And it's nice to know twenty years later he is a humble, kind, funny, and healthy person. He looks so good. Rare in professional wrestling.
Wow,
This guy never ages
@frank bonini also no heavy drinking or drugs
@frank bonini yep Jerry is a non drinker and looks healthy for his age for sure apart from the Botox. It's funny I'm 46 and went to a school reunion a few months ago and you could tell the party girls. They all looked rough for their age. Drugs and alcohol definitely age you imo.
This guy seems real cool and respectful, even the way he asks to pls not thumbs down the preview cos of his savage voice.
Stevie is a good dude, he probably delivered the most well deserved chair shot in all of wrestling.
And certainly one of the best delivered ones👍
I always liked Stevie Richards! He totally got Sgt Slaughter over when the Sarge returned. He showed such respect to the Sarge!! Thx Stevie, that was awesome!!
Stevie richards has the personality that every profesional wrestler should have. What an honorable human being.
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Stevie's the man.
Stevie Richards was a great heel, during the Right To Censor faction I loved it!!
Stevie Richards is cool one of my favourite if not my favourite wrestler met him and I'm glad I did such a great and nice guy
I would love to see a face off shoot with Stevie and Raven.
TheShrimp Plaza
Seconded.
Great shoot, learned alot and it definitely was inspiring as well, didn't expect that. Thanks Stevie! You showed me.
I always thought his RTC persona reminds me of Michael Douglas in Falling Down.
Good
Comparison
Just watching this preview made me respect Stevie even more
Love ya Stevie, always respected you, and you always entertained us. The first time I ever saw ECW on our local station in NC was when you and Meanie were doing some rock concert thing in the ring, was hooked ever since.

Great preview. Stevie is always entertaining.
He is so down to earth....
Steve takes me back to my childhood days.......
I met Stevie a while back in a local show, and honestly he's the coolest guy , through out the entire show he kept coming up to me and asking me if I liked the show
Just read this, it's on amazon now to download it's a cracking story!!
Always one of my favorite guys to watch.
Met stevie in wildwood and he was with danny doring and amish roadkill, they were all awesome and very down to earth
Stevie is the nicest, down to earth person. I wish he would have got the push that he deserved,
The part where Stevie got released and put down the Xbox 360 accessory is hilarious Lol
Do you remember when he was world champion in 2004, good times
Steve richards deserves more respect he put alot of young talent over and always showed respect to wrestlers in the business.
Stevie comes off as such a nice genuine guy.
"We are going to have to let you go." *puts down X-Box thing....hahaha
underrated badass stevie richards is a legend
Stevie is an intelligent and respectable individual. He's the type of wrestler that SHOULD be getting a big push. I bought it because I'm a huge Stevie Richards fan
Stevie Richards is such a cool guy
I would love to see Tazz bully New Jack
Stevie is the man.
God bless Steven Richards, he's a transparent man.
Also, poor DDP! If you watch his shoots, he says, "when Savage was in WCW, he would just land on you!", also he pissed blood because of that, maybe Macho Man wasn't such a decent guy after all.
Stevie Kick! Loved him in Right to Censor!
I always liked Stevie remember when he was Dude Love
It's the '04 Royal Rumble Winner, Steven Richards.
Remember when he won Mania 20 main event wow good times
Kingler180 Stevie Richards vs Daniel Brian
There was no Royal Rumble in 2004. It doesn't exist. And at Wm20 the World Championship mysteriously disappeared for a little bit until Randy randomly got it. Weird
Wtf are you saying? '04 Royal Rumble never had a winner. Stevie Richards fall out of The ring by The top rope for no particular reason.
A Zf Richards entered, Twice.
I want to see the full. More content
pretty good shoot interview
I think I thought he was the IRS man, haha. I was like, "this guy has longevity."
Wikipedia take note. Billy Jack Haynes loves cats.
"I love Cats"... Keep having fun stevie
If I was one of the Boys Stevie would be someone I would Run with A Good Guy💯
Is the full video/interview still available?
I'm really hoping someone can actually upload a full segment or two from this interview at some point. It seems like an interesting shoot to me and I've heard Stevie actually made negative comments about The Undertaker in this interview. Which is odd to me since people usually speak highly of Taker
kendrick and london both have repeatedly said bad things about undertaker lol but yeah its pretty rare
thetoon99 i know paul london said taker was a guy who pulled him aside and commended him for his demeanor in the locker room. London said with sarcasm geez thanks somewhere along the line their first shoot interview they really went in depth about undertaker and how he made people kiss his ass

thetoon99 sorry for the long reply haha hope u read it all lol
Best in ECW,overlooked in WWF/E
Sounds like the guy took some abuse....
Richards was a good worker and should've been Intercontinetal Champion at some point.
Any of the older RF interviews getting the blu ray treatment?
This seems like one I'd enjoy.
Another guy buried in the mid-card that was way better than some top guys.
theres only one guy who does real shoot interviews konnan.
i met him, cool guy
The Chyna & X-Pac part: rofl!!
Classy guy
if steven Richards would have came to wwe with the Dr stevie gimmick he woulda gotten so much more over in the 90's that gimmick fit him so well steven richards deserve better
I have an old friend named Michael Modest that use to train with him to.
ECW, WCW, WWE. You get to the big three, you can say you made it. in a sense
Good dude. Gave me some tech advice a few times.
RIP stevie richards
lol do you know how many people you are going to make google this to check if he really died. Most people don't get the sr/cb joke :)
he's not dead and cut him some slack, the right to censor and his alliance with kronik is just part of the act. he's been through alot and deffinatly when he found his friend crash holly dead while he had him over at his home
lol it was a joke. Look up Chris Benoit/Stevie Richards
Richards didn't die, Some Random Prisoner Escape & Kill his Wife & Son, then Accidentally Killed himself with a Dumbell, The Dad(Steve over here) Nearly Escaped Death.
Did Paul Heyman go to the Don King school of contract making?
yup.
The thing is though, he was such a great color commentator. I will probably get heat for saying that, but I don't know why. hi why did wwe let you go Stevie Richards
Baron Von Stevie is better than 98% of WWE gimmicks.
TBH I was a big fan of the short-lived Tag team of Essa rios & Stevie Richards
Always like hearing stories from Lloyd Van Buren!! lol
who were markedly different, whether it was in ring style, promo's, or the kind of matches they would have, or their look would be pushed on, or blackballed for not having the WWE style and/or having a big head coming into the WWE before making their name there. Does he ever mention Benoit?
Wrestlers most despised #3
Good lord this one seems awesome. I trained with Crash for about a year got to know him pretty well. He died in Stevie's house. Does he talk about Mike in this shoot?

awesome Stevie Richard plays xbox360
Doesn't sound like it lol, he was looking at it and put it back down after getting fired on the phone.
Finish it off with a Billy Jack story, nice!!!
Stevie Richards became the WHC at WM XX
Probably Masters.
Right to Censor was a great gimmick and Stevie was a great talent even if it was just to annoy the shit out of you and get his ass kicked. Good worker, hope he is doing well.
He does look like Shawn Michaels a little I can see the resemblance
Alright... EVERYTHING about this preview is wrong. It should be about 1/4 as long as it is... but with the actual questions and then the answers so that you at least know what the hell is going on. he showed us we saw
Did Paul Heyman go to Don King's school for making contracts?
He would talk about Modest a little bit.
He has the right to censor
Who's the Chris he talks about @ 7:49?
this got great reviews just so everyone knows
What Chris is he referring to when he says he'll write a book someday 7:50
Chris Masters I believe
you don't agree?
masters? "oh yeah what would you call it? how to lose 40lbs in 2 weeks?"
it was chris masters during eric bischoff's wwf book coming out. DX hunter was talking to hbk about it.
Hey Richards, I hate when 2KSports Will Banned anyone who Uploads Your Face in it.
What if he uploads his own face?
PunkNDisorderlyGamer MY MIND IS SUPER BLOWNED!
Conrado Javier "In 2011, Manna pitched a perfect game in the MLB 2K11 video game. A promotional contest offered a million dollars to the first person to accomplish this, but because Manna did so before the contest officially started, he did not win the money."
2K has been fucking over Stevie for years.
bWo for King of Trios 2013 :) fit right it
I know!! :)
Chris Masters
one of the few exceptions to the nice dude rule would be the rock!
I'm guessing he talks about meanie and jbl :)
I thought it was hilarious too, I don't understand why people get mad over it. Maybe because it had something to do with Masters having to get off steroids, and perhaps because a lot of fans blame Triple H for ruining Masters career even though he had nothing to do with it. Might as well air the entire interview because who would buy this?
He's Extreme Rising Champion
kind of right.... right to censor. steve, hodfather, val, ivory, bull. d-von had batista as bodyguard on his debut
