Starfield Ship Building Guide - Star Wars Razor Crest inspired VTOL ship

- Here's my 17th ship building guide and my first modded ship in making the Star Wars Razor Crest inspired VTOL ship. Glitch build technique and Creation Mods are used for several parts.
All parts can be found in Red Mile, New Atlantis & Akila city and Neon. Prepare at least 400k to build this ship.

# 🚀 Important Update on Ship Building in Starfield!
Attention everyone,
We have some significant news regarding shipbuilding in the recent 1.13.61 update. Bethesda has addressed the flip and merging glitch that many of us relied on creating unique ship designs. It has affected the majority of my existing ship builds.
But don't worry, I recommend downloading the "Ship Builder Tweaks" mod available in Creations. This fantastic mod allows you to continue building ships with overlapping parts and many more quality-of-life improvements on shipbuilder ensuring designs remain as unique and dynamic as ever.

Of all the razor crest versions on youtube for this game, this is by far the best.
This looks very cool. Reminds of Jaster’s Legacy. Jango Fett’s first ship before he acquired the Slave I.

This is sick! The only thing I'd change is to use a HopeTech Armstrong cockpit, because I personally think it looks better, but that's just me lol. Awesome build!
I ended up making a beefier version of this guy because I couldn’t figure out the glitch trick, but it looks just as cool.
I would recommend adding some smaller engines on more inconspicuous areas on the ship. The Mass was large enough that even the VTOLs had a problem turning keeping up with the smaller fighters.
After I added the additional engines, it can keep up with the fastest of them, but more importantly, turn quick enough to bare the full weight of its arsenal on them.

Awesome build! I made a few modifications myself. I love the over all shape and the vtol mod looks awesome. I used a different bridge, dragonscale cockpit from matilija. It gives it a hird of prey silhouette.

As I saw this video at the TH-cam mainpage overview, I was already smiling, because I knew this one would be amazing. And the first seconds of the video has shown that I wasn't wrong. Doesn't matter if we talk about the Millennium Falcon, the Ebon Hawk, this Razor Crest or anything else, your designs always seem to go some steps further than others.
I mean, seriously, how do you manage this? Is it just that you open the shipbuilder and just do it? Or do you have to make some planning with another programm before? Can you see what you want to and can do with the given parts before you even tried it? I'm really serious, tell me your secrets. :D
edit: Are you planning to do the Serenity as well? I mean, now that those VTOL engines are a thing.
Thanks man I appreciate it! Tbh I cant explain everything here in detail but it's all about trial and error, taking inspirations from Pinterest images and other builds. You'll need to memorize every structural parts in the game. Its a very long process.

And I think your right. I guess it's a bit like cooking, at one point you just know how something tastes in the end before you add a spice.
At the moment it's a bit difficult to memorize every part, because so much is happening with creations. But giving up is no option, I still have too much fun with the shipbuilder.

hello i need help the engines dont rotate for me the fire just comes out of the side of the engine so it looks silly

Followed your guide to the letter, but for some reason the engines are tripping the docker position error.
You might have them up 1 notch too high on the attachment points.
@Psion_Phoenix I figured out the culprit. One of the nova cowlings located under the wing was clipped into the interior/docker from underneath.
Do you know which cowling , I’m getting the same error
@@tucker1012 Read my comment above. I'd accidentally merged the cowling into the docker.
i fixed it by replacing the docker with a deimos hull a and putting a slim docker on the companionway in front of the landing bay on the bottom
Docker Invalid position am I missing something or doing something wrong? Followed each step and retraced my steps but the problem persists
I'm about to start working on making the ship if I have the same problem or get it to work I'll let you know

Nah I’ve already found that in order to vtol engines to work, you have to deactivate all of your mods, reboot your game, reactivate all mods and then you can fly around with the vtol engines.

What is “glitch technique”?
Flip glitching. Google it, lol. It's easy.
It only works with parts you can rotate, which is one of the reasons the rotate mods are required. When you want to attach a part and it shows red, make sure it's snapped to where you want it, rotate it in any direction once, and then then back again, and you'll be able to place the part by backing out. The part will still show red but it will stay snapped in place 😊
