HP EliteDesk 805 G6 SFF - Review, test & look at upgrades available

This is a super looking desktop PC that comes with 10Gbps high speed USB ports. This is our first look at one of these small form factor platforms and there are a number of upgrades that you can do in addition to the usual RAM modules. This HP EliteDesk has an AMD 4650G CPU with the latest Radeon graphics and an M.2 OS drive with additional M.2 expansion slot. This is a super business grade machine and one we recommend.

Where is the optional 3,5" space situated? Is it right under the DVD-drive, in this boxed-in area?

The only thing I need to know is hoe to open the disc drive without acces to the file manager. My work pc doesn't let me go into it so I can open it that way. Gotta install a new printer software😢

Would it be possible in HP EliteDesk/ProDesk to plug a 4 port NIC with a low profile into the PCIe port? I would like to install Opnsense on this.

Mine has 3 display ports no hdmi, so I had to order dp to hdmi cables, and I had to order hold down screws for the second m.2 drive and the m.2 wifi/bluetooth card, so it sit for a week before I could even turn it on. it has the standoffs it should of had screws, and an at least one dp to hdmi would not be to much to ask for. I still ain't left feedback for it. they will stew until I can remove the security and boot from usb, not there yet but i am close.

You can use the display ports to connect an additional 2 screens in addition to the HDMI port so you can natively connect 3 screens at the same time.

Personally I prefer Dell. Their Support Assist software works really well and I like the durability. I've had quite a few issues with HP desktops and laptops. Dell seems to be more reliable in terms of hardware.

Basic games yes - don't expect a high FPS with modern titles though as they're designed for dedicated GPUs.
