  • Love doing these lazy bezels, so much quicker to figure out than how many delica's I need around my rivoli or cabuchon. I hope you guys have fun with this one also :-)

    I loathe beading around rivolis and will avoid doing so at any cost! However, that means that I miss out on making some beautiful things because I won't do it. I think that you have released me from my "shame" and hatred and I may be free to wrap those beautiful rivolis once again! Thank you for such a great lesson 💜

    This is awesome! Thank you for sharing!
    ......for the lady who thinks it is too fast,
    I hope it helps if I share that when I first started watching everybody's beading video's....
    I thought ..."oh my gosh they are all so fast for me!"
    .....But I just kept rewatching and it felt like learning a new language, and it did not click in my brain at first,as to what I was exactly seeing or hearing , then with the "practice" of watching and listening, it just started clicking and I understood and could watch and smoothly understand!
    ...It also helps to hit pause or even push the red back up bar to go backwards just a bit every time you think you did not quite
    "catch" something.
    .....Learning something new is exciting, but it does require a bit of
    Effort and repeat practice if it is a new skill, that involves something you are not used to.
    Then after just a bit of time,
    One day, I just said
    "Wow! .."I just totally got that, so easily", when before it seemed so hard!
    ......I started beading when I decided I wanted another new skill set that would keep my almost 70 year old brain responding in a young healthy flexible manner, so it could keep it firing on all cylinders! (And the design aspect and just doing the math and problem solving of figuring out how it all will fit together,size and color wise etc. )...really is good for keeping cognitive skills active.
    I am trying to keep my body and my mind " moving" as I see what happens when anyone of any age stops moving.
    It is not pretty!🙄
    Good Luck to you!

    Just an update, I made one with an 18mm Rivoli, I added 2 more pearls, and it is slightly loose. But I tightened it up on the back and I will keep it for myself. It's an aquamarine rivoli (my birthstone) and I love it. I also made one with 2.9mm crystals and 3mm Swarovski pearls and that one came out pretty as well. Thanks again, your the best ! I'll try to get a picture on face book. Evelyn

    Cindy this is a newbee page, but after about 50 vids it is getting somewhat more advanced now and than. :-) Any new beaders who never beaded before comming in, well they just have to start with video 1 that I uploaded 7 months ago to get to this level :-)

  • @B4Pbakup
    @B4Pbakup  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes if you look at the doodle video I just sit down put some beads in front of me and see where I will wind up. I don't think there are any stitches that can still be invented. I think we pretty much got them all, the only difference from one project to the next is what one does with a right angle weave or peyote stitch for that matter. :-) no I don't do multi strand necklaces. And I can be found on facebook if you are looking for me under beading4perfectionists :-)

    it's a right angle weave, I speedbead part of it but you can just dow bead left, bead right, cross in seedbead, bead left, bead right again. I start off with that you can continue it if you don't understand the speedbeading I'm doing :-)

  • @B4Pbakup
    @B4Pbakup  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    take one thread and put one end on your right hand and one end in your left hand, that should make it clear . First two seedbeads on right thread. Those go in the middle. Nect bicone on the right thread pearl on he left and cross threads in 2 seedbeads. You can repeat that (pearl left bicone right cross in 2 seedbeads), you don't have to speedbead. :-) I just figured the people that have been with me for the last 4 to 7 months might enjoy learning it (if they haven't yet :-)

    if you ever have an urge LOL or time I'd like to see some videos on making necklaces with gemstones or fancy glass beads (using eyepins, head pins, connectors etc.) to make drops and loops - you are such an outstanding teacher I think you'd have a huge following - I've watched other videos and they are such a waste of time -

  • @B4Pbakup
    @B4Pbakup  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Debbie i don't use eyepins a lot, one time for a rosary and that's it. I feel when they are not closed well enough they easily let loose. When you get stuck behind something they easily bend of break. Working with headpins or glass beads is just not my thing. My left over gemstones are now going in to a couple of trees of life. It's just not my thing, my thing is bling and string :-)

  • @B4Pbakup

    9Ondrea, this is a beginners channel but in order to follow and understand yuo have to begin at the beginning :-) I don't know how long you have been beading but if you check my video's olderst first, and see what you already know and work your way through them by the time you get here yuo can do this :-)

  • @B4Pbakup

  • @B4Pbakup
    @B4Pbakup  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well it sort of depends what you have in the house I always say, not everyone has size 2mm round swarovski's, so that could be replaced by seedbeads. Depending on how tight or loose you bead you will need to figure out of one size 11 will fit or if you need 2 size 15/0 or maybe a 11/0 and a 15/0.

    I love the shrinkie dink one that you did of your husband and cat. I would love to do one of them with a photo of my beloved husband who passed away almost 6 years ago. If you have the time, would you please do a video of it ( I know that it's asking a lot because your time is so busy). Thank you Gianna for all the time and effort you devote to teaching the rest of us how to bead. Believe me, I appreciate it a lot.

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the bezel is done the same. All you need is some shrinky dink paper you can put in a printer and a picture and something oval you can go around with a marker. After it's shrunk you will have to figure out though how many sets you need to go around it, it's trail and error. Because it's bigger and oval I used 4mm round beads instead of the 3mm, the rest is exactly the same :-)

      I will Gianna. I'm going to the hobby store to find the shrinky dink stuff and then do the photo. I like the smaller beads and pearls because I love detail. Even when I did my painting and drawings, I wanted the details to show. I have you on my Facebook page because I love your artistry and talent so much. You always take the time to answer any questions and I know it must take a lot of your time yet you are willing to do this for us. Your definitely a rare person. The way I follow her is to pause the video LOL -- and I too have never done beading - I just jumped in on one of her videos and they are SO easy to follow you don't really have to know what you're doing at all - what I LOVE is how she finishes jewelry every single piece looks professional - I've always thought the devil was in the details and G. proves it. Just do a step, pause and do some more - you will find it exceedingly easy to follow her.

    This looks just beautiful I will be trying this myself but I think like you said you would like everyone to try to see it in are own version and do different things one thing I think would give it a different look just by adding a second hoop on the other side of the pearl to get it like a V shape to the hoop to give it that little extra rich look to it. That just me.

    I think your bezels are beautiful. I have been trying to begin this bezel again and again and I also cannot see from my angle which thread you are using to get the beads in the same position as the camera shows. All the rest of the bezel worked out very beautiful but when I completed the circle the first bead, crystal and the seed beads did not look right. It all started with not being able to see which thread you used to make the first circle. Thanks. Please comment as I wanted to make these and give them to my daughters for Mother's Day.

    do you create these "ideas" by playing around with stuff or do you find ideas copy them and make them your own? I mean the stitches not the colors. Also I need some help but it's too difficult to explain on you tube - is there any way to reach you if I can email a sketch of what I'm trying to do? I kinda jumped into an idea I had but now am not sure how to execute some of the parts - it's NOT seed beading tho it's an elaborate multi strand necklace - don't know if thats something you do

    Hi Gianna! I am trying this tutorial but I am having trouble finding out what size pearls you have used...... I have bought a beautiful (maybe too big) swarovski and want to frame it :)
    Beautiful work as always!

    Can you tell me what brand of pearls that you use?? Are the they Swar. pearls ? Bc the ones Im using in your projects, the outer coating is scratching off and ruining the look of my projects!!! Please help.

    • @B4Pbakup
      @B4Pbakup  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Swarovski Donna. Never had a problem with the coating comming off. That may happen though when the acid grade is pretty high in someone's swet. Were yuo using swarovski beads?

    • @donnamorris767
      @donnamorris767 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No just a brand from Michaels.. Learned my lesson after completing some very complicated earrings and the pearl coating rubbed off.. Never again!
