Built two of these as the M-01 and could only find used bodies. Had to strip bad paint and rebuild, the bodies are absolutely beautiful but lots of work. Paint order is everything. Also, the front end is very delicate and susceptible to breaking. Probably why this body is so expensive to get ahold of in one piece.
Lovely job on the m05 definitely more complicated than it lets on ;) cheers for the shout out and I’m Really looking forward to seeing your take on the M01 :)
Lovely work Gavin, can we see a video of this beautiful little mini running. Man that little car would fly what a race weapon it would be. It's just that it's to nice to race but at least a small clip of it in action please. Great work again mate👍👌
Well done Gary, looks fantastic. As you say lets hope Tamiya re introduces this car in the future as they were very popular in the Mini Class racing. Excellent representation of a Mini.
Hi Gav. Ive been building a Lancia Integrale. I recon the best way to apply the decals is not to follow the instructions and to put the window surrounds on first. Easy then to line the decals up against them. However that was an after thought and mine never came out as well as yours. Keep up the good work mate. Mark
What a great job. I would love one of these but 2nd hand prices are stupid! It's definitely one that Tamiya should re-re if they can, I imagine it would be a great seller.
Great build! love the mini The rover mini also has the extra plastic parts that the monte carlo has! it looks fantastic! im excited to be owning one in mint never driven condition. (m01 rover mini) Such a shame they don't make the body's anymore. same goes for the tyres! Would love to see another re-re of this kit and also the BMW mini
Hello Gavin, finally back on the M-01 I'm excited and such a classic and vintage now the beginning of the Tamiya Mini, absolutely nailed the paint job looks fantastic just like the box art.Question do you ever do commissions have a very rare body shell for the Tamiya mini that was called Monster Mini and i suppose is new old stock still sealed in original packaged.

The Tamiya Mini looks better than the real Mini in my opinion. One of the Tamiya classic bodies. Your Mini looks ace.
I like that one more than I thought I would.

You brits and your minis! Looks great. When's the running vid?
Winter so it won’t be until things dry out in the spring. I’ve got a bunch of shelf queens that need to set times on the BGRAT track
They did the wheels in gold if you want to try and get hold of em Gav😉👍
I’ll have to see if I can find a set

Very nice gavin.how did younfind the front headlight decals
I would rather a MK1 type front grill instead of the later version
How long untill you end up with a fleet of M chassis? Im only missing the metallic red ltd edition chassis that was done and a M08.
I’ve got M01, M05 and M08 Concept. I think that’s it.
