  • Much like how a guitarist is allowed to critique covers of their song, I too am allowed to do the same, even if said covers are pure plagiarism. 7 minutes is all I can spare...
    Sorry Warden, but your misconceptions of the game are a burden.

    anyone defending this without any misgivings confuses me. in any other field, whether it be literature, music, or scientific research, snagging someone's work and repurposing it without giving credit is plagiarism, full stop. Musicians have to clear samples and get explicit permission to use other peoples' work as beats. Any level of writing whether it be in news articles or academic papers requires citing your sources and giving credit to prior individuals who contributed to your work in some way. Warden only citing this as a source rather than giving credit is wrong because citing a source in your work implies that you are using that resource to create your own argument or build onto the understanding of something, but Warden regurgitating someone's work entirely with little to no contribution means that they'd need to give credit.

    Modders, coders, researchers, all should be appropriately credited and genuinely recognized for their work. Only those who have never gotten into these types of hobbies and fields don't know how it genuinely hurts to not be recognized or credited for what we make. Such work that is 99% of the time released completely for free and for the good of the gaming community at large. Artists and creators of content should know this, so this lack of genuine respect is mind boggling. It's the bare minimum that content creators should do to respect the community that they are making money off of (researchers, coders, modders, reverse-engineers, etc).
    Crediting a website (The Cutting Room Floor) is the same as crediting TH-cam for when a creator reacts to a video from another content creator.

    I didn't even bother watching that vid when ik the prototype alr and he called it 'insane'. Last few months have been BT3 videos with no substance, it's clear people are playing it for the first time just to find content to make out of it before Sparking Zero. I've seen comparison vids just list what new characters there were and nothing about the gameplay itself. Nobody who knows the technical stuff cares to make commentary vids it seems

    I can relate mainly on the music side of things. Someone took one of my beats and didn’t credit me at all but once I confronted them they gave me credit for making the beat. I’ve also had to expose an individual for stealing other people’s beats as well and they inevitably deleted all their content because they knew they were in the wrong. So, yes, I agree Warden should’ve properly credited you and not just link the article. You did all the work for him and all he did was just regurgitate what you’ve done

      I mean, isn't that part of researching? Granted, Wikipedia is a basic start. But it's better than talking out your backside.

    He's not the only one doing that, and a lot of people make this kind of poorly researched content, not just for Dragon Ball. And i'm getting sick of it.
    But to be honest, Tenkaichi is a special case. Because it just seems like all the people making content on the game are "nostalgic" and proceed to not know how to play the game and spam square while people in the comments talk about their childhood, not realising that the game has A LOT more to offer and wouldn't be stuck in the past if people realised that. The pro players that make content on the game are barely getting views in comparison.

      This video is on the edge of disrespect though. Please try to be more respectful or the people you are accusing won't listen to you.

    • @ViveTheModder

      Because some people don’t really view plagiarism as a problem, and even if they do, they still don’t think of it as that big of a problem.

    Ima be real most content on this platform is regurgitated content. I get dude is a casual, but making a whole ass video bitching about it is CRAZY dawg it aint that deep😭😭

    • @ViveTheModder
      @ViveTheModder 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +10

      That's right, it ain't that deep.
      So why did he put "a dive" in the video title? Why was it such an INSA- I mean AWESOME prototype?
      Having more of a problem doesn't make it less of a problem. This platform still has plenty of room for originality.
      Nothing crazy about that, sure, but is it too much to ask for someone to make a video in things they have knowledge and interest for?

    why the backlash? did he not credit you? like that seemed like a fun video, who cares who tells anyone about this. you don't have a right to any of the information posted there, if you wanted to make a video about all these extra things then why didn't you?

    • @ViveTheModder
      @ViveTheModder 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +10

      Like I said in the video, he did not credit me.
      Linking the article does not count as credit.
      This has nothing to do with any rights.
      I played both the taikenban and prototype extensively, having tested every character and map, and even going as far as to look at inaccessible (in-game) files for sprites and other unused stuff.
      I expect others like him to make videos about it, because the main work is already done for them, and they have way bigger audiences than mine.
      If you still wanna talk about rights, I have the right to publish my research and have it be properly recognized.
      The most basic thing of any essay, in video format or otherwise, is providing citation and references.
      EDIT: Geekator2012 made a 2 hour long video about the character differences in the Sparking Neo taikenban. Only 6.2k views. Still not enough, compared to any DBtuber, but still more than what I get. You see what I mean?
