I wish I could get other coaches to understand this. My uncle was a scout for the Rockies and reworked my grip on 6th grade. I literally went from being the worst player on my team to playing shortstop up through independent pro ball. The correct grip allows you to snap your wrists, drive the ball to the gaps, and literally fixes so many issues with contact.
I tell kids to do it who I coach and their parents, and other coaches, change it break l back. It's so frustrating. So, thanks for putting this out there

@@dpbaseball I definitely grew and things just clicked that season defensively too. But, the drop change and just taking 50 swings daily over the winter completely changed my game.
