Saint Argus is the progressive/fusion solo project of San Antonio, TX artist Marcus Shoults. Originally, I tracked some material for him another lifetime ago, in 2010 (the very year I began doing session work professionally from my home studio), but was sidetracked and, consequently, ended up shelving that stuff indefinitely. Marcus is back with a polite vengeance and contacted me in late June of this year re re-recording one of the tunes from said session. Little had changed from the former arrangement, and I made even tinier tweaks to include some small effects cymbals.
Speaking of, there's some new gear featured/debuted here. I've already utilized some of it in other sessions, so it'll be popping up sporadically:

-19” K Custom Special Dry Crash (used on my left side)
I had made iso-drum movies for the original session ahead of time. Back then, I used to wait until the final mix/master was presented to me. Because I archive everything, and because so little had been adjusted, I was able to sprinkle in ten seconds of that footage at 2:18; it was too funny and unique an opportunity to not take advantage.
Finally, this track is from a forthcoming LP, entitled 'Mariana.' The mixing engineer is Mack Damon (en.wikipedia.o... ).
