coils don't often go bad but they do sometimes,, likely the problem here,,, you are becoming a full time mechanic.

As Missouri Old Timer said.. coils don't go bad often, but they do.. or they get weak.. magnets on the flywheel can get weak too..

Eish, hope it is not the magnets, the gap between the coil poles and the magnet seems to be a bit big, maybe I must bring it closer to business card size

@jankotze1959 gap definitely makes a difference!! I've seen where some, need a very small gap, but business card size should be close enough.

This seems a little odd. I would expect some resistance through the coil. It may be worth seeing if you can find a manual online which should show what the resistance should be for a good and bad coil. It looks like you have a queue of jobs

Hi Joseph, yes something behave strange, I guess resistance should be in the order of 500ohm
