It'd be understandable if Dehf followed up on the dash attack, but he didn't really. Then again, maybe he wanted to push Nairo out horizontally more than vertically. It's called a buffered dacus, to buffer you do the input during the last 10 frames of the move, to test it spot dodge and buffer forward + up c stick, first buffer a dash attack and once you get that double tap up c stick to buffer the dacus (type b dacus or buffered dacus into youtube)
people who are actually in the competitive network for this game realize this; thats why Pierce can be at times bothersome. I personally feel he could be one of the best commentators in the game; he just needs to learn how to execute better and give a clearer picture in terms of the framework of an entire match rather than that one situation. You need to account for baits, conditioning, percentage, just the same as stage control and punishes ( which he tends to focus on).
The thing about it (although i do believe he is quite knowledgeable) is Pierce tends to disregard the context of the total match. There also is a better comentating balance than "oh that bad. Id rather do this, id rather do that." perfect example of this: there's part of the first match where Pierce states DEHF couldve punished with DACUS. he COMPLETELY omits that Falco has trouble killing and staling dacus at that percent would be retarded. Not to mention a whiff could put him in disadv.
His information sharing is cool and all, but what gets slightly annoying is when he talks about what options are wrong and how he would have played the match etc. I mean, there is no one right pattern to a brawl play.
Dude Pierce speaks better than his play, he is a genius and even if he talks about what he would do, they still give inventive ideas. He is the only commentator who points out mistakes from even top players showing that no one is perfect still giving out great ideas. He knows this game very well he just can't put it into action. Just show him a little more respect rather than jealousy because that's what it seems like your showing man no disrespect to you.

It is literally the first sentence so I don't know how you actually missed that. Lastly, he tries to carry over some traditional fighting game terms, but he uses them incorrectly. which can cause a ton of confusion and teaches people a wrong definition. Oh and regards to this video and falco following up horizontal advantage poorly, complete b.s. Once Falco is good at short phantasms and lasers, Falco can retain the advantage. When theyre airborne he has time to setup one of the more solid frame traps in the game. PLUS MK horizontal airspeed is low aside from his specials.
