    I have the OnePlus 8 Pro and feel that the performance advantages of the 888 SoC vs 865 SoC are not worth the upgrade - also not convinced by the venture with Hasselblad. Plan on keeping it until possibly when the OP 10 appears. The real 'value' of having a top-of-the-range phone is plateauing out now (it seems) - other than battery efficiency and useful "tweaks" to the s/w to make the screen adaptable in terms of the refresh rate - I can't really see any significant game-changers in the next 3/5 years. Obviously, manufacturers are starting to commit to up to 3 years of software upgrades (Oppo, Vivo etc) which makes upgrading a necessity to take advantage of this. However, I'll be retaining my OP8 Pro for the foreseeable future. . . .

    The 8pro is 700$ U.S. that's a way better value than the 9pro. The best phone is always gonna be the second to newest one as far as value is concerned

    The display point for Oneplus 9 pro doesn't make sense just for the variable refresh rate. It's just supposed to save battery life and isn't a feature that makes the display look better. But u said that the battery life was about the same, so 8 pro should just get the point in general for being cheaper!

      every review points to oversharpening on Oneplus 9 pro so it isn't better , wide angle is a toss between the two

    • @pauloavrd
      @pauloavrd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@NeverSettleForMediocrity oversharpening due to post processing was solved in the first updates. So it is better. And even post processing it alot, the sensor on the 9 pro is still much better keeping up image details on all lighting conditions. Only one that has a biased opinion into one can say the 8 pro gets better pictures.
      Crop one, crop another and you will see how much trashy the 8 pro image is. Also, the raw images are insanely better on the 9 pro.
      And the ultrawide isn't a toss between the two. Per comparison the ultrawide on the 8 pro is utterly garbage, specially in low light and details. That was my main complain on the 8 pro since I bought it.
      I still find it funny you guys defending one phone or the other. Buy the two and then opinate. Untill then you just have a biased opinion.
