Whoever keeps asking about Jackson Heights is buggin. There was NO big Mafia presence in J.H. actually in most of Queens except for H.B , O.P.,, Ridgewood, City Line, and a club or two in Astoria. The biggest one was Tough Tony with Rom in Corona. That was it. Some gangsters lived in Bayside and hung out at the Airport Hotel on Queens Bully. That was it. For the most part. J.H. was always mainly Colombians and South Americans with drugs and prostitution on Roosevelt Ave. As well as mad Indian people. Now it's the biggest GAY LGBTQ community in NYC. Jackson Heights was NOT known for Italian mafia.

@brewcity2317 Queens had a strong presence. In South Queens. Near Brooklyn. Howard Beach, Ozone Park, Ridgewood etc. Also, Corona & Bayside. It was the Jackson Heights area that had not much mob presence in general. All of NYC was deep. But in comparison to Manhattan & Brooklyn it wasn't.

There's lots of tough guys who can hit not they've never really been cracked themselves so they win most their fights. It's guys that can absorb the shot and recover, those are the real tough guys.
Boxing is the truest test of a fighter, not when you get into an argument with someone and then all sudden just crack them.
Most civilized ppl may argue with you, but they never expect to get punched unless they are already street ppl. These already realize that during a verbal argument, better be ready to throw down or don't argue.
