Hey Dom, you know I’ve always supported you, and been respectful in my comments, so you know I’m neither a hater nor a troll, but I plan on responding very candidly to you regarding what was said about Joey’s wife. I know you apologized, but then went on to say two wrongs don’t make a right, implying that both transgressions were equally egregious. First of all you can’t compare what you and Gene said about Joey’s wife to what Joey said regarding Gene’s mother. Joey basically said that Gene dragged his mother into court to plead with the judge to show clemency for her son. He was basically calling Gene a big baby, and that’s it nothing more, and nothing less. His comment was only meant to cast Gene in a bad light, not his mother. If anything, he portrayed Gene’s mom as a loving Italian mother who loves her son and would do anything to protect him. There is nothing negative about that. As a matter of fact you made the very same point about Italian mothers so how can you then suggest this was somehow disrespectful towards Gene’s mom? I’m not going to even allude to the filth you two spoke about Joey’s wife out of respect for the both of them. However, what you guys said was not only meant to reflect poorly on Joey, but also to impugn the character of his wife, and cast her in a very bad light. I found what you two said to be disrespectful, disgusting, and completely uncalled for. Even though Gene’s mother was mentioned by Joey, he was clearly only insulting Gene. Can you say the same about what was said about Joey’s wife? I’m by no means a fanboy of Joey, or anyone else for that matter. I’m simply on here for entertainment, and have no dog in the fight in any TH-cam drama. Usually, my only reason for commenting on someone’s channel is to show support, or to contribute to the narrative being discussed. @@gillraymond4112 I’m not sure if Dom even saw my comment. On his show today he doubled down and said that Joey brought Gene’s mother into it first, which is true, but disingenuous in its message. I watched Joey’s podcast and heard exactly what Joey said, and didn’t feel anything disparaging was said about Gene’s mom. That being said, I kind of feel Dom and Gene are going to bring this up to justify the insults they made about Joey’s wife. The truth is anyone with greater than a double digit IQ know these are two very different types of insults, and what Joey said does not even begin to justify what Dom and Gene said about Joey’s wife. I feel bad because I actually like Dom and enjoy his content, but I have a very clear understanding of right and wrong, and have to speak candidly about this. I hope that whether Dom responds or not, he understands that my comment is meant to be constructive and not to troll or hate. I feel like instead of helping to pull Gene up to his level, he let Gene pull him down to Gene’s level. Either way I said my piece and am going to drop this because either Dom gets it or he doesn’t. Dom - I respect what you are doing to try and help a friend on the one hand. On the other hand, Gene doesn’t have a great reputation with the viewers in this genre, nor Alite. They are both widely considered bullshit artists with out of control egos. You have built yourself a good reputation. I think you aught to be careful about bringing your own reputation down by linking yourself too closely with people who aren’t trusted or respected by the viewers (sorry for the harsh words, but it’s the way it is).
When you had Gene on, he was already egging you on to say a lot of things that are different to what you say when you are on your own, and that could be clipped out to show you as instigating beef, like talking about Joey’s wife, or saying silly over the top things. In the same way you have been advising Joey about how he can do charitable works without being in the media eye, you can help your friend in a way that doesn’t involve everything being public on social media. I respect what you have done, and I don’t want to see you degrade your perceived seriousness or honour, even if it gets clicks in the short term. Peace out, from a Brit in Romania.
