Well, we are glad to have you here. Thanks for watching and commenting. The goats were bottle fed from a young age and trained daily with the dogs so they do great. 😁 They can carry up to 50 lbs each and I load them with 25 lbs. We have a blast out there!!
Your adventurous journey with five friends, tracking desert wilderness water for camping in solitude and cooking with a Firebox stove, is truly inspiring! Your camaraderie and love for nature shine through. And I am Floating Village Life, celebrating your exploration of the wild.
Great vlog as always. I love seeing the goats out backpacking. Your dogs must have immense self control, my dog would've been all over that breakfast. Cheers, Simon (England)
Lol I totally understand that! It's been a lot of work training the goats and dogs too get to this point. Daily training was a big deal, they think I'm part of the herd now lol. 🤣
I think long ago when i bought my firebox and NANO. it wasnt the stoves i wanted...i believe i really just wanted the FOOD!!!! IT ALWAYS WAS AMAZING. STILL IS..but mine never turns out that good...lol. beautiful place and wonderful life!! Those are some lucky creatures livimg the best life in the world. Happy babies
Those goats make fine companions and fine pack animals. The Firebox kit worked a treat, cooking several items more or less at once and using different methods at the same time.
Hey Steve, I just received my Ti Firebox, going to fire it up at Mt. Hood here in Oregon soon. Thanks for the great products, keep these videos coming!
I love the outdoors and your videos are a way for me to enjoy nature when I can’t be out in it myself. You’ve inspired me to try some trout fishing again , as I used to all the time when I was young. Good eatin’
Great location Steve! Having option of sun, shade, or a mix of both is a great feature in choosing a location to set up camp. Those big boulders were a prefect natural wind break for the Firebox Stove Freestyle. Horn-cam is a hit.
Love the video! We let our dog do a quick clean on our pots and pans then boil them out. I would love to see a video of the 5.5 firebox with the grill plate attached to the front edge of the stove. Saw a hint of it in a demo video of yours. Thanks for what you do!
@fireboxstove thank you for that! You just turned my favorite stove into a 2 burner. After the sale customer support is a sure sign of a great company!

Just amazing. I love camping but ive yet to conquer the fear of cowboy camping under the stars. I realize a tent is false security but can keep critters off you at night. This whole set up makes me want to just go and do!! Thanks for sharing the adventure.
It's amazing to see how the nature looks different from my town in Japan! And of course to see the gang and food🤤 Super relaxing yet exciting video. Thank you!
You say, "you can't be too warm." Well, once while on a multi day rafting trip along the Green River through Dinosaur National Monument, I learned to put up my tent only after the sun started going down because otherwise my tent would be unbearably hot at night. The first night I put it up too soon and I laid there stripped down to almost nothing, laying only on an air mattress and still pouring sweat and worried I was going to wake up dehydrated. So you CAN be too warm, lol. Anyway, thanks for making my mouth water....
I've read several Western novels that mentioned dogs being used as pack animals by Indians, but have never heard of goats using them. That was pretty cool and interesting to watch. Thanks for sharing your great video!
I think hes saying...dont stop in front of me and i wont push you...MOVE IT!! LOL!!!!! He wants you to move at goat speed...lol. beautiful place. How old is little Junie now? Shes the cutest creature..love her. That bashing stick was perfect..made lots of kindling..LOL
Long ago i learned from Dave C. That a handful of sand and use your hand rub around...nice n clean..no cloth..no scrub. You got plenty rinse water. Nothing to harm nature or the water. Water n sand
We'll take this into consideration for sure, thank you. 😊 The goats can carry up to 50lbs and we load them with 25lbs. They carry grain and camera gear. 😁
I love that the goats can eat pretty much anything. That shot of one of them going up to the tree and yanking off a hank of dry bark and chowing down was impressive…
Your outdoor adventure videos are of such high quality and so well produced, they deserve to be watched on a big screen TV. Well done sir, and introducing the goat cam 👍🏼 Priceless. No bungee cords to hold the aluminum table panels together?
Personally I have never seen the like, backpacking goats no leads and dogs enjoying their company. I've backpacked all over and have only seen dog packs...good show!

A ? Is the water from those wild, raging mountain rivers drinkable or are they contaminated with minerals? NICE! Trip!! Good thing you have those goats for helpers, sure footedness matters!! God Bless! Jerry
I don't think they're contaminated with minerals but there is a chance of giardia and other microorganisms so you need to either boil, filter or have pack goats so you can carry it enough👍🤠
I love your cook kit! The food looked amazing and delicious. 😋 Question: Do you ever harvest “fat-wood” from the deadfall ponderosa pines? Great video, thanks for sharing!
I've looked for fat wood a few times but haven't had any luck finding it yet. I'll keep my eye out next time I'm in the woods since it would be fun to find some.

Just stumbled on this page. Simply incredible. I wish i could train my dogs to behave this well and not run off. The goats just make it perfect!
