If customer does not want to pay for flashing then still we will manage to waterproof it and save our clients there money plus for this job we are providing 10 years warranty and plus this way you can be sure it will last long, we torch the base slightly in the center and waterproof the eges, which is a lot better then nailing the base, already had repaired many of them in toronto because does nails pop out after 5 to 10 years.

Thanks for comments and likes, you can buy all the tools, ( Torch ) at your local roofing suppliers, you will need some training before starting with torching your self, like working with propane, make sure as a beginner keep your flame low and under your control,
If you have a gravel roof that need a patch, clean the gravel all the way to tar nice an flat and then start your torching, make sure you seal all the way around with caulking.
Im sure you guys will able to do small repair but please do not start a totally replacement by only watching this video, you need more experience, there is alot going on the job site

To bad i see some dislike here i want you to know the camra shows a lots of fire over there but its because of to much light infact that propane tank was almost done and it had not much power plus we are using 250 cap which is the thickest, iso 3 in, protect bord all over, base 180, cap 250, keep in mind low heat wont let the job last long and it will leak in matter of 5 years, plus i guarantee this job will last over 25 years, does who dislike give me a call i will take you to the job site so that you see the job after 3 years i bit it will look like new even after 10 years and thats just because we know what we are doing. As someone who does roofing for 15 years i have tried many different ways to make sure the job last long with no trouble and this is one of the best ways at the moment. For those who dislike this video read carefully once i torch my base my job wont leak even if i leave the job like that in the middle of winter for as long as i want, when i torch the cap every peace of it get seald over the base ( not just the corners)

U need to practice more, when u walk behind the roll and torch, you dont really torch the roll thats why you can walk on it, I torch the roll way more than you, if someone step on it, right away the foot print shows up, i fount out this method last over 20 years, i have seen roofs that was torched this way and the owner just need a small repair for 25 years old flat roof, you can walk behind the base but defiantly torch the cap Propper, when u walk behind the torch and torch the front, you dont really torch the Centre lol, that where you walk, and that area will have a bubble after 5 to 10 years.
My warranty for flat roof is 10 years, so i got to push more.

With any roof its about the quality of the base layer and then the cap which goes over it. A bad base leads to a bad cap...which leads to leaks....
If you have an old roof with a questionable base the best answer is always going to be get down to smooth surface be it wood or concrete...Put on a good primer if its cement so that the cap will stick...Or good paper (or similar) for wood...And then put on the cap layer properly and seal the edges properly.
The answer for can my new roof go on over my old roof is almost always no....Because you want to inspect and repair the underlying structure...And then get a complete and proper base layer.
Imagine the old sloped shingle roof where the paper is old and rotten...And the wood below is wet and rotting. Without looking...and replacing...how would you ever know?
Look, can you re-roof over an old roof without all of those steps? Sure...but then youre gambling that your improper repair lasts as long as it should. Why gamble with that kind of money?

🤔 all details should be separate to allow expansion. As for flat area there’s no pressure on the roll which will create blisters over time as air is trapped between the felt and substrate as for the returns around roof dome should be overlapped with a minimum of 100mm and hidden and following the natural fall of the roof..would love see how this roof ever passes for a guarantee.. stick to ridding you horse you bunch of cowboys 🤠
