you have indeed helped me. thank you for your effort.
Mine are both pretty low and i really didn't want to pay someone to do a job that i knew was semi simple

Thanks just copied this video and I’ve changed front and back pads. Only question, once fitted. Is it normal for the pads themselves to have some play between disc and calliper ?? Like a little wiggle. I’ve figured it’s because we manually press the break piston back in, and that creates more space for the wiggle of the pad??? If not let me know, cos don’t wanna test until safe lol

@@whostroubled when you put the new pads in, depending how far you pushed the caliper back, there might be a tiny bit of movement, but once you use the brakes there will be less movement, there will always be an air gap as the pads don't press hard against the disk until you actually brake.

I have been quoted £60 for the front and £60 for the rear to replace the brake pads on a Honda SH Mode 125cc. How much are the brake pads? Could you list the spanner sizes and sockets required for both the front and rear?

From memory you will need 8mm, 10mm maybe 12mm. also 6mm I think, if you take off the nut holding the brake pipe.
I bought a cheap socket set from Lidl, it also has some torx bits, one of these will also be needed.
I bought EBC pads front and back. This was ok for the front, but back wore out very quickly. I then bought ferodo for the back, these lasted longer.
I've just fitted honda pads to the back to see how long they last, they were around £40, all other pads were under £20.
The front I've got EBC again as these lasted very well, probably due to their size. Bear in mind I have the SH125i, not sure if the mode has a disk on the back.

In Europe, top end sintered brake pads are about 40 - 50 eur a pair (you need two pairs per bike), cheapest carbon ones about 10 eur a pair. DON'T get the original Honda ones - they are VERY expensive for their quality. You can get simillar brake pads for at least half as much.
Also - considering you mentioned SH Mode, which isn't sold in Europe as far as i know, you're probably from Asia/South America and should get those low - mid range brake pads for much cheaper. The top tier pads are usually made in Europe so they might actually be more expensive for you due to shipping costs.
