  • Marrakesh, a former imperial city in western Morocco, is a major economic center and home to mosques, palaces and gardens. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with mazelike alleys where thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry. A symbol of the city, and visible for miles, is the Moorish minaret of 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque.

    I did that journey in the opposite direction back in 2018 with my wife. The train is a good place to meet people and have conversations.

    Hey brother, off topic…but would say a person could get around Abidjan using only Dioula and English? Hotels, markets, restaurants, media, etc?
    What percentage of Abidjan you would say could communicate in Dioula? Interested in using indigenous languages in IC and avoiding french.
    Hope you can answer this question. Thanks.

      @adrianm-he6he
      Of course brother, you don't need French not only in Abidjan but all over Ivory Coast. Djoula will be enough
