Huge thanks to Adam and the whole AO team for making this trip and video possible. Want an 'I ❤ Crack' mug like Adam? Go to 👉 wideboyz.com/product/i-love-crack-mug/
I may have failed the British ceremonial tea-drinking test, but my crew and I tremendously enjoyed (and survived) the sandstone climbing with Wide Boyz. We got scared, we tried hard, and it was such a great time. I am sure we will climb together again soon! Also, the entire AO's production crew cheers and looks forward to the next climbing time! For now, enjoy both videos on our TH-cam channels! PS: We have a little Christmas surprise for you. So stay tuned.
We truly are in the golden era of youtube climbing collabs and it's just awesome to witness. The sport is in a really good place right now, thanks you so much for the great content!
Tea ceremony. You did very well, the spoon on table is optional, mine goes on a chopstick rest. There's an American woman who made a mug of tea in a microwave, truely terrible toxic waste of tea. Love your colab's
'Pete gets lumped with Adam' 😂 Adam being like the over enthusiastic friend we all know who says "its only a short walk", when talking about something like the appalachian trail
You guys did a great job on adding to the video on Adam's channel, the cut from "proper British" to Pete fighting for his life with the music still playing was perfect!
these absolutely elite climbers of our time trying those routes puts the achievments of the first ascentionists into perspective. these routes were established ground up, the older ones were climbed with the rope around your chest and often times with bare feet. they were incrediblely skilled climbers absolute elite athlets even without good equipment or professional training (or ever climbing something graded harder than 8a)
This was great. Looking up and seeing the distance between those last 2 rings made me a little queasy. Its not surprising ondras such a good climber when you see he comes from such a wild climbing scene. And congrats to pete for that first onsite!
Yes. Routes in other parts of the world are often run-out, but then it’s usually only high up where it doesn’t really matter. When you are 40m up a 20m fall into empty air is fairly safe. So at least you can tell yourself rationally that you are perfectly safe. These Czech routes on the other hand with the first bolt already 10m up and the next bolt another 10m up …
The bits of Tom explaining why he had the better setup and forcing Adam to demonstrate how to make a proper cuppa fit for the Queen (rip) were just fantastic
I agree about the cup size. The next time I see a half liter mug I'll buy one for three reasons: First, normal cups (3 dl or less) feel like they are always empty after 3 sips. Second, half a liter is the smallest amount of water I can boil with my water cooker. Third, I always feel like the tea bags have more than 1 cup in them but the second cup is always diluted and tasteless, so one big cup should be perfect.
This is the best time for me to have discovered climbing. Theres just so much super high quality content for me to enjoy. I've only been climbing for almost 2 months and I've just been blasted with so much highly entertaining, impressive climbing. I love it so much.
The scene with Pete talking about sandbagged routes, that ends with “you can die on them,” is such a wild/brutal contrast to the rest of the video. The video as a whole is art.
absolutely loved the tea bit. so wholesome to see you two sharing parts of your culture. truly inspiring to encapsulate this important part of the international climbing scene in something so simple.
Tom has a real "Bob Dylan" vibe going there. I think he made a new genre "climbing folk music," a genre of music that embodies the hardships you face climbing in the wilderness.
Coming from the Elbsandstein it is so cool to see that untik today this old routes Bernd Arnold had established are still hard enough to deliver a good fight for todays elite climbers.
the spoiler at the beginning saying that no one died or broke their ankles ruined the video-watching-experience for me... thanks Tom.... j/k amazing video! funny to see that after so many years poking fun at the o-dog, you guys became bros after all
Sandstone has such a distinct sound to it, you can really hear the grainy texture when material rubs against it. I kind of like it but it also makes me a bit more nervous lol.
Huge thanks to Adam and the whole AO team for making this trip and video possible.

I want an I ❤ jugs mug!!!

We waited so long for Adam and the wide boys and now we get even more content, this is the world I want to live in!
Fantastic!
Tea ceremony. You did very well, the spoon on table is optional, mine goes on a chopstick rest. There's an American woman who made a mug of tea in a microwave, truely terrible toxic waste of tea.
Love your colab's
@@dave_h_8742 Damn, that comment about Americans really came out of nowhere lmao
I love that y'all spent like 1/3 of this video on tea. Really shows your priorities are in the right place 😂
Yorkshire Tea for the win
it's the equivalent of how skate videos spend a 1/3 of the time on smoking cigarettes and smashing things!
Makes me wonder if it was mostly to sell a mug and/or drive comments about the technique, which is half standard British and half Pete being silly
They're British give em a break!
*Tom's musical renditions need to feature more!* 😁👍
I can see his kids cringing with embarrassment & shame 😂 make it so 😀
yeah that was proper good n funny
Its always nice to see you guys out and about doing more preparation for the crack cellar.
😂
hahaha
'Pete gets lumped with Adam' 😂 Adam being like the over enthusiastic friend we all know who says "its only a short walk", when talking about something like the appalachian trail
OK but I want to see the behind the scenes footage where the camera crew gets to the top
They climbed some of the easier routes on the Towers a few days before. Apprently getting the rope up on one of the towers was epic😂
Regardless, they need to be pretty good climbers too. They would deserve the behind the scene praise for sure.
Adam: I would never free solo
Also Adam: *free soloes while tied to a rooe *
as long as you have a rope it's not free solo ;)
@@chris_3729 such a funny, bright guy you are :)
cause you can't come down without a rope
Pro is aid
He dragged the rope with him for the last ring. He could have used a petzl connect or any life line for that.
That two minutes of the O dog and Pete making a cup of tea would've been the greatest sponsored segment on TH-cam ever!
The joy on Pete's face at the sounds of the spoon clinking is so heartwarming. Makes me want a proper British cup.
The quality of this channel and adams is kind of crazy. Props to you all.
Thanks a lot! AO Team
Pete's level of commitment is always inspiring!
Ondra drinking tea out of an "I love Crack" Mug somehow broke me.🤣
You guys did a great job on adding to the video on Adam's channel, the cut from "proper British" to Pete fighting for his life with the music still playing was perfect!
Pete and Adam tea time is just fantastic!
Pete’s face when Adam puts the spoon in the milk can. Priceless. :D
Petition to make Tom singing the official outro
The goofy music carrying on into Pete fighting for his life is amazing😂

On the shoulders of giants

The exposure on these routes is terrifying - just watching makes my palms sweat - mad respect to anyone climbing any one of those

Great! Adam + WB is a really brilliant collab!
Adam, "oh you think this cellar is dangerou. HAHA, let me show you my country"... probably
I would absolutely listen to a podcast where you bring on guests like Adam and have tea with them. Just throwing that out there.
I'm glad Tom got to come. I thought he was left home in the cellar in Adams video :P
The comedic music as you grunted your way up that crack was just 👌
The bits of Tom explaining why he had the better setup and forcing Adam to demonstrate how to make a proper cuppa fit for the Queen (rip) were just fantastic
The production in this video is amazing. Thank you for sharing this guys, amazing stuff.
These towers, the whole area, looks surreal. Love this content.
You guys need to get sponsored by Yorkshire Tea (they sponsor all sort of strange things - previously they have sponsored a juggling conventions!)
THATs the spirit of climbing looks like... Video editor is making impressive work to show atmosphere of that trip to us 🎉
Tom, we need the extended version of the O grades song!! and a collab w/ Adam singing it. Amazing video as always 😍😍
I agree about the cup size. The next time I see a half liter mug I'll buy one for three reasons: First, normal cups (3 dl or less) feel like they are always empty after 3 sips. Water cooker?
Tea bags obviously have more than one cup in them because two bags for a pot is fine.
the quality of climbing and beautiful footage in these videos is so sick! so much respect to all involved x
Production value and editing were top notch on this one. Bravo.
Thank you for always putting a smile on my face and making such great videos!
So awesome to see you guys climbing in Aderšpacht with Adam! Always a treat to see experienced climbers just "running up" the hardest sandstone there.
Pete and Adam, GG -- amazing effort. Tom, GG man. Thanks, helps a lot!
This felt like such an old school doc. Loved it

Love the drone shots and graphics used in the beginning, really elevates the entire production value.
absolutely loved the tea bit. so wholesome to see you two sharing parts of your culture. truly inspiring to encapsulate this important part of the international climbing scene in something so simple.
We need this to be the outro from now on
Pure Gold 💫Pete's explanation of the route's and how to make tea was 💯
Good to see Tom back :) Also, I really enjoy the content with Adam!
I could watch footage of this area all day. Incredible.
Another great video. That route looked horrific but at least the runouts aren't too long eh!
Thank you Tom and Pete and team! Y’all are the best! Would love to see a vid with Alex honnold one of these days in Yosemite! Would be so dope
Pete struggling this hard means it's freaking tough. Wow.
You got some KILLER drone footage m8! WOW! What a beautiful vista! :D These rock towers are amasing!
Love the choice of music in the second climbing segment after the tea. Way to spice it up! 😁
Absolutely brilliant. Loved it.
You both should do a monthly news sektion together. Would be funny af 😂😂
Tom has a real "Bob Dylan" vibe going there. I think he made a new genre "climbing folk music," a genre of music that embodies the hardships you face climbing in the wilderness.
Wow. What a wild place...
I think all climbing videos should have tea ceremonies in them
I could watch these two drink tea all day, more interesting to watch than comp climbing!
Flippin fantastic video!!
great film! what a merry cast of characters lol
The editing is just great!
Tom, lovely guitar skills! 🥰
Thanks guys 👏🏻👏🏻🏴
Coming from the Elbsandstein it is so cool to see that untik today this old routes Bernd Arnold had established are still hard enough to deliver a good fight for todays elite climbers.
The best climbing video I’ve watched in ages! Love how you’ve turned Mr Ondra into a true Yorkshire tea drinker 😂
Your content is outrageously good
Yes, i think Tom is winner! :D
Hahahaha yesssss!!! Petes face when the O dawg rattled his spood in the cup 😂😂😂. Reit enjoyed this chaps!!
Can we just appreciate the quality of the whole tea section 🤣🤣🤣
the spoiler at the beginning saying that no one died or broke their ankles ruined the video-watching-experience for me... thanks Tom....
j/k amazing video!
funny to see that after so many years poking fun at the o-dog, you guys became bros after all
Think he looks level headed with a good sense of humour.
I knew Tom had some Rizz but seeing him rock that guitar with Rizz just ooozing of him... wow, just wow, not a dry seat in the house
Great song, Tom!
Ive just watched this video cause I wanted to learn how to make proper British tea. And now I know. Thank you
Great video as always boys!
Sandstone has such a distinct sound to it, you can really hear the grainy texture when material rubs against it. I kind of like it but it also makes me a bit more nervous lol.
Brilliant!
When does Tom's album drop
On that chimney why even have the harness on hahaha
Insane climbing. Fantastic video as always. What was the O grade?
Those rock formations are incredible
Nice to see Tom for once
Congratz for Onsight :D
Is there anyway you could release that song Tom sang at the end? At first I thought it was funny but it's actually a bangar.
Very playful music for this edit, I like it.
I was expecting a few rounds of cucumber sandwiches to come out next! Love the cultural master class! Excellent watch! Thanks lads!
Stop trying to kill Pete!
Legends
I love how you’ve got Ondra sniffing tea bags like that’s the standard British way of brewing up
Its nice to see pete being outdone in the " understating danger department " 😂😂😂
The music after the tea segment around 6:42 doesn't fit the scene in the least bit. But I love it haha
Lol i loved that too. Made me think of some wacky Disney thing going on 😂
that music perfectly matches the vibe i get from watching pete fight for his life
This is so wholesome
Tom's song at the end did me 🎉😂❤
Best youtube thumbnail ever
Epic, didnt know there was a secret superstar in the wide boyz
Looks like absolutely nailed-on Type 2 fun.
Amazing
Yeah, pple in the Czechia sandbagging everything on the daily basis :D.
Oh wow, we need more Tom on a guitar in future videos !
I love it!😁
Bloody love it
Pete we missed Tom's talent in the Rim jam 😂 Kill me
