Andre, your video are always amazing! I'm glad I found this channel to keep up with all the new games! Also, after seeing how the Deadly six match the Chaos emerald colors I'd actually like to see the story having something to do with Eggman breaking the Master Emerald and unleashing them. That would also give Knuckles a good reason to be around!
At one point during the Wii U video, when Sonic uses a springboard, he gets that blue after-image behind him, and attracts nearby rings on his way up. On the way down, though, he doesn't leave a trail and doesn't attract rings. It seems like shortly after using red springs and while holding one trigger, Sonic gets those blue after-images, and they may be an indicator as to whether or not he'll attract rings. So when you're doing slow platforming, you'll have to actually go get each ring.
In all the Sonic DS and 3DS games, theirs a special 3D part of the level that appears any where. In Sonic Rush A, the only Sonic only DS non-RPG, it had a 3-Dimensional Hub World, a 3D boss, 3D movement on the jet Ski and Hovercraft, and a few 3D segments in one level in some of the worlds.
What I like about the badniks here is how they seem to actually TRY to kill you. Like how the motobugs seem to chase after you when they see you or how buzzbombers seem to shoot on sight vs enemies in the past that seem to wait like 10 seconds before firing.
i think what gamers of the new generation in sonic can appreciate is the since of unlimited freedom sonic now has in lost word and a lot of special moves
Sonic Unleashed is the only Wii game to feature Super Sonic in Story Mode. In order to collect the Emeralds in D S games, you would have to do 3D race track like obstacles to either collect rings/orbs, race Johnny, or beat the clock. Their is one Emerald in each world except in SRA.
Actually the ledge grab was used in SA2 Battle. Just try to jump and grab a ledge in the Hero Chao Garden. A flat one. It takes some time to find the right one.
Ledge grabbing was also featured in Sonic Adventure 2. The Wii U version will be more similar to the Classic & Modern games, and the 3DS will be similar to the Dreamcast era games.
i know what the deadly 6 are. they are the six shadows that appear (in a sonic game that wasn't made) when Dr.robotnic blows up the giant emerald, but they get like corrupted or very powerful so they turn into the deadly 6
In Sonic Unleashed Wii, in order to collect lifes, you have to collect a life, you have to collect the lifes in a Gaia Temple by collecting Moon and Sun medlas. In Sonic Colors Wii, you ahve to collect lifes by finding the life icons in the levels, or at the end when you get an A or S rank.
In the previous video, the flowers shaped like arrows are the same texture as sonic x-treme's Jade Gully Zone. It's hard to see with the video however, if you have the texture files you can see it clearly.
Also, given that the badniks are still attacking Sonic despite him teaming up with Robotnik, it's still possible Eggman will be the true main antagonist in a similar twist to Sonic Generations, where he turned out to be the true main villain.

This is stretching it, but Sonic X-treme was supposed to include the archie storyline's sally, and tiara was intended to be a rival love interest to her. Basically they lifted bits from the Archie comic and show for the game, well in the archie canon the grey chaos emerald is the controller emerald of the 7. The grey chaos emerald may have some significance to the story of this game, just a thought.
Can I just mention that since this is only an E3 demo, they probably only have placeholder icons and music, such as the Classic Sonic head and Sonic Heroes music.
This game is looking better and better every minute. :3 I showed this to an old Sonic fan that hasn't liked a game since Sonic 2 and she's very excited. Can't wait for this to hit story shelves.
IDEA: Homing attacks are automatically chained. The groups of 2-3 Motobugs and Choppers in Windy Hill, along with the lines of enemies in the honeycomb stage, all get attacked in quick succession (faster than the average player could reliably button-mash) in the order the game targets them. This is even true when enemies are in oddly-shaped groups, though it doesn't happen sometimes (targets appear but attacks don't chain, 4:30), suggesting that it only happens if the attack button is held.
great video but one thing me and my siblings are having a hard time choosing what games to get 4 the wiiU and since i trust you the most wat games do you recommend because our wii is sort of running out of things to do so getting a wiiU for christmas and what games do you recommend please reply =D
Yep and so did a forgotten ability sonic had, the "Sonic Boom" which is the same as a spindash but he charges up by running on the spot instead. Funny how modern sonic uses the speed boost which is nearly the same. Which means Classic Sonic learnt how to do the speed boost years ago and sonic only remembered it in colours (correct me if I'm wrong).
I think the Red guy leads the Deadly six. Note 1: in the shot at 2:45, he's at the top of the group. Note 2: He's got the highest amount of a secondary colour(black) Note 3: In one of the group shots, where they're all leaping at the camera, not only is he in the middle but the camera zooms in on his face alone. Note 4: He's most likely associated with the volcanic region of Hex - and Volcanoes are very often the last place a game visits, being one of the most deadly natural areas.
On the right side of the screen, the icon indicating how many animals Sonic has appears to be a Flicky, a creature which appeared in Sonic 3D, could this possibly mean that the Flickies and Ring Power make a cameo in the game too?
Has anybody picked up on the Bounce/Bound move at 5:35 ? Sonic used that in SA2 and 06 as a power up, and he needed some sort of GADGET to use it. I can't be the only one who saw that.
At 5:35,Sonic looks like he bounces to get up the ledge.I'm assuming Sonic's bounce ability from Sonic adventure 2 has return...at least to the 3ds version of the game.
There was actually a proposed RPG based on the concept of playing as Sonic's sister. It was likely to be a cheap localization of another RPG but still.
TRIANGLE JUMP While the Sonic Heroes music in the 3DS version might just be a random placeholder, the chained wall-runs (1:33) seem very similar to Sonic Heroes' Triangle Jump ability, and the extended wall run type seen in Shadow the Hedgehog. CYLINDER SPIKES Not too significant, but the spikes placed around the cylinder (seen 1:44, 3:48) could be pulled from Green Hill Zone Act 3.

Second the purple wisp isn't the same one as frenzy or violet and it has a completely new ability. Following the idea of the deadly six being related to the chaos emeralds, they may actually be the chaos emeralds/manifestation

No the gameplay from the candy and the tree level is from the Wii U and the one from the desert ruins and wind hill with that strange wisp is from 3ds...
Seems to me one of the scripts for X-treme had a countDOWN timer as well, but that was to do with some kind of poisoning storyline. I'm probably reading too much in to it.
The purple void wisp from the 3DS version actually looks different from Sonic Colors since the void wisp was just a regular one transformed by Eggman. Maybe it's an entirely new type of wisp?

I just realized how many references Sonic:Lost World has to Super Mario Galaxy. First of all, the background has other planets like Super Mario Galaxy. Second of all, at the end of the world at 4:02, you could move around in any 3-D way like Super Mario Galaxy!
Maybe they where judged too similar to the Purple Wisp. Also, Purple and Violet Wisp where actualy Wisp corrupted by Dr. Eggman, so maybe the new desing is what the Violet Wisp looks like when it's not corrupted

sonic lost world is based on another wisp planet like in sonic colors but remeber the cutscene you see once you beat the final boss all the planets teleported back and something went wrong and they all combined into one. as you can see in the demo the sweet stage resambles one of the worlds in sonic colors. Also in the 3ds version of sonic colors theres a secret boss that resembles the dangerous six in a way of it being corrupted. plus once you beet the boss the coruption went away but did it

Fair enough but remember that the modern sonic is in 3d, so if it went to the classic era it would be roughly the same speed. Besides, the "Peelout" can get to speeds that outrun the screen. If it did go as fast as the modern sonic boost, the game would most likely break. So think of it as a contained boost.

What intigues me are the red rings. What are they used for? They said we could buy upgrades, but I feel something would be missing... My idea is that red rings could act a bit as emblems in sonic adventure dx. They could unlock previous sonic games like sonic 1 to 3 and advance!
Well I'm excited for both versions! They look like a lot of fun. My biggest hope is that they fix the control issues for Sonic in recent games. Generations is great, and you can control Sonic fairly well, but it isn't perfect and it takes major adjusting and awkward movements to get you through the more precise platforming sections. Anyway, hooray for finally getting Sonic Xtreme!

Combinded with the fact that windy hill looks ALOT like Green Hill Zone, could this suggest that lost Hex was literally created by bits of Sonic's world, like how Robotnik's amusement park/Giant mind control ray was made by taking several planets
The cannons are actually from Sonic 2 and Sonic could actually grab ledges back in the Dreamcast era as well.

The boost is more powerful than the peelout, so they're not the exact same thing. Also, he first used the boost we know in Sonic Rush, not Colours.

At 7:25 the star could in fact appear at the end of a certain act. That act could finish and potentially go straight into a boss level.
In addition to the ledge grabbing, the wave blast attack shows a bit of homage to the spin needle attack from sonic 16 as well.

Maybe gadgets are mini-machines you build and you have to use rings to buy parts for them, and find other parts around the level!
Takashi Iizuka has said to Sonic Stadium during E3 that there was no influence from Sonic Xtreme. Apparently the team had never even played it.

Sonic actually had that ability in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic 2006. You needed the Bounce Bracelet in both games to perform the move, though.

the motor bugs in the bushes are smaller than yousual so maby they are some sort of new baby motor bug enemy?
