    To safeguard d seed pod just cover n tie it with a plastic bag. In case d seed pod burst after dry up, d seeds will spread in that bag only. You can easily harvest it. Thanks. From Mumbai India

    Yep, loved stomping through puddles as a little child. Now I like driving through them in my car. Splish, splash, sploosh!!
    So as the puddle adventure goes. I was walking to school with gumboots on.
    And there was a beautiful big puddle, "I will walk through it" I thought to myself.
    I walked into the mirky puddle, it was deep, super deep. It came up past my knees and my gumboots filled with water. So about face to walk home and get changed.

    Well waiting for any growth in my succulents right now is like watching paint dry. Not dying, but not growing either. Lots have started etiolating so will be plenty of material for cuttings in spring.

    Liz,
    I have 23 different succulents and new at this. I am handicap and trouble walking. My plants are in my hutch inside, can I mist my succulents? Plus how much water to water them now, spring is here.
    Thank you

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never mist my succulents. The watering rule for most succulents is to water less often but heavy. That means letting the soil dry up and soaking the pot overnight.

    I have been wanting to ask this after watching tons of your videos, how come all of your echeveria mostly agavoides have those reddish freckles on them? is it the soil or the weather that makes them like that??

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it's due to a combination of change of temperature, watering and sun exposure since they come and go with the changing of the season and how much watering they get. Most of my agavoides, I don't water and is dependent on the rain. Never had this before when we had drought and I only water them 4 times a year.

    • @ashwarya_s
      @ashwarya_s ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GrowingSucculentswithLizK Okay understood. I put DAP fertilizer in 2 of my pots of Adolphii and moonstone for experimenting..both got black marks on them like freckles! I guessed chemical burn!!!! Maybe your red freckles are due to the same?

    I try to grow other plants besides succulents, but I fail.
    I have several flower pots to organize on my veranda right now.
    It is my wish to grow succulents in a large yard like you, but I don't know if it will come true.
    Today, I hear your happy voice.

    Hello Liz ive been having problems with mold on the flower stalks and flowers too what is this caused by and does it easily spread as ive noticed a few other plants close by becoming effected...these are in a outdoor covered area under grow light with a fan to circulate air. 1 other question does rain effect flowers which im trying to germinate by x pollination? Thank you so much x

    • @GrowingSucculentswithLizK
      @GrowingSucculentswithLizK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm having the same issues. It's due to too much moisture in the air. After spraying them with my metho solution, I let the soil dry up and they seem to go away.
      I'm a little confused and want to clarify what you mean. One can't germinate the seeds while it's still attached to the plant. Flowers can only be cross pollinated while still attached to the plant. Germination of seeds from pollinated flower can only be done when they are mature and harvested and dry.
      If one wants to pollinate the flowers and it's raining, one can bring in the flowering plant to pollinate out from the rain.
