This game is probably the best crossover I have ever played. Period. The styles of play were blended perfectly, nothing felt like it was forced to "make sense", and the music was amongst some of the best in both franchises.
@@SquidInkPizza The main criticism I had at the time was that the solution to the mystery was bonkers. However... I just replayed the first few Layton games, and it honestly isn't as far fetched as ideas like Future London. I think that the actual problem came from the fact that most Ace Attorney plots are fairly grounded in reality, whereas Professor Layton is more fantastical, resulting in an ending that feels completely different from what you'd expect. Either that, or I was no longer an idiot child and just hadn't clicked that all Professor Layton plots are nonsense :P
I think both track titles work really well tbh Casting magic makes sense since the people of Labyrinthia do not know what logic is and to them, Phoenix and Layton's deductions and how they navigate each case is like magic to them. Spell Breaker also makes sense by the end
In my opinion, this track is possibly the best pursuit theme ace attorney ever had . In every ace attorney game, we know that the defendant will be sentanced to death, but this game is the first (if I remember correctly) to show the people getting executed . With that, when we defend the accused, we feel the weight of the sentance he could suffer . And this track don't give the feeling to have a great argument, it's more than that . The track sounds like a desperate defense, our only chance to break in the argument of the prosecution, where the others pursuit themes sounds a little too funky when we remember that the accused will be put to death . This track remember us the seriousness of the situation
@@Sovian777 Not really a spoiler, at least not an important one. The game is about witch trials. Of course gruesome death sentences will take place. They are not talking about anything actually important about the plot and the cases.
Despite its flaws, this is probably one of the most important AA games and the reason Chronicles is as good as it is. It definitely deserves more love.
It's also just a great game in general, it's really not as many make it out to be, which is very surprising to me since crossovers are generally a very corporate deal, that's why I think many just assume it to be kinda cheap, when in reality I think this may have had the highest production budget of any AA game at that point
@@whitneysmiltank the "problem" with the game is the fact that it's bonkers for layton fans it wasn't an issue apparently, since his games do have bonkers plots normally, but aa games are kind of realistic (kind of) mostly. also, some of the voice acting feels off, specially for maya imo.
I love this pursuit theme so much because it really makes you feel the weight of the situation you’re in. This is far from the victory lap of a track that most of the other pursuit themes sound like, it’s a death toll for the witness you’re condemning to be burned alive

Th-the answer is obvious isn't it?! I dropped them _afterwards!_ After I ran over to see the fire...I took a tiny peek inside the bucket! That's when they fell in..." _"OBJECTION!"_ "...Don't be stupid, child. Me and Snowy were at the scene first. We made sure to take that milk bucket before anyone could get their grubby little hands on it. We weren't going to let a single soul get anywhere near that sweet creamy bucket of deliciousness! You can bet my farm on that!"
This criminally underrated.
Agreed love the game and the soundtrack is amazing
You're absolutely Wright!

This piece is usually known as "Pursuit - Casting Magic", but I think the perfect blend would be "Pursuit - Spell Breaker".

Uh, I'm pretty sure they don't get sentenced to death in any other Ace attorney game, but are given the life sentence(unless they're a serial killer).
@@soliasstar4640 Pretty sure they do, because well... Big story ordeal for the third game.
@@KahunaLagoona it actually depends. in aai2, Sahwit reappears and it’s implied he can get out of prison despite committing murder
* Why did i actually readed that with Pyra's voice?
* Is it something i wouldnt see stranger for her to say if she became an Ace Attorney Fan?

POV: You challenged your speeding ticket in court and won
i will not stop spreading my propaganda about this theme
this is my favourite video game theme of all time
has a Final Boss Theme vibe to it. Too bad the original upload is gone to replicate my comment I had on there xD
I remember i said something similar
Yep, it is just THAT Epic
This theme is most memorable to me when solving the final puzzle, tbh.
Final chapter fighting while working together with Layton
best OST I've ever heard it feels me goosebumps 😍😍😍
This game's OST is so underrated
Unpopular: most wonderful ost in a AA series.
now that's how you take a bath
