I don't normally like to compliment Mikkie (no offense, Mikkie, it's just funny and enjoyable to insult you, nothing personal!), but DAAAAAAAAAMN, son, that knife handle looked way more beautiful AFTER you fixed it! Well done, General. Well done. Also, small hint for your kabobs next time - after you get the meat and veg on the skewers, brush them lightly with some vegetable oil, and then sprinkle with a little salt, black pepper, oregano, and garlic powder. It's easiest to mix the seasonings up in a bowl first, then sprinkle on the kabobs, so you won't put on too much of any one thing. The kabobs will taste terrific, I guarantee!
I like the cooking because when you go camping, you probably will not baton with your knife, but you will absolutely do some sort of food prep. At home, in the Kitchen I often find myself reaching for my Spyderco Aqua Salt for cutting bread, that Spyder edge serration just melts through bread.

While I was looking for a blade whose top priority was being good at slicing cardboard, you two grasshoppers gave me a handy tip with this review. Straightforwardly ordered the TF1 and boy I can tell you, the makers had cardboard-slicing on their mind designing this gem. Thanks a lot! BTW no scars as of now.
I have the same problems with a Gough custom knife from Canada and the handle design is very similar so I held off getting the fallkniven just in case it felt the same I'm glad I did.
Wow! Incrredibles knives! Here will take me like two or three years of my salary to buy some Fallkniven. Only in my wet dreams I own one! Great video guys!
I like what you do and the honesty with which you test the knives. In the future I will buy Taiga Forest for my collection. In the future I would like to see a test with Cold Steel 4-Max Scout. Thank you for what you do.
You guys are great, thank you for all the informational and entertaining videos! I really look forward to them. I only wish I could afford a Fallkniven knife. They are so cool!
A tip for any future shashlik chefs, soaking the skewers in water before cooking them will prevent them from burning and breaking as they cook. If the DBK boys find this comment, love the videos, keep up the content!
You need to test the H1 CoS if you havent already. It doesnt get alot of attention but its defintsley one of the best knives they make. Its sized like the F1, its ground like the Pro Series but has a thinner sprine, the grip has the same texture as the f1 but its less square and more barreled. It doesnt have much of a finger guard and the belly is very low so it kind of works like a kitchen knife. I use it as my primary hunting knife, great skinner and the rounded tip is really useful for that. But it works equally well for bushcraft.
That knife looks awesome! Tbh, I like the looks of it better than most Falknivens You should make a nice curry in a future episode! Full of flavor, the camp fire smoke would add a really nice flavor as well...
I wanna see you guys do a obstacle course / bushcraft stations race with your favourite knife. Time each other and the looser has to eat something grose. Hopefully Martin hasn't got soft and can still do a chin up!!
Would love to see a compilation vid of the RKC winners with their knives. You've had some awesome giveaways the last year and we never get to see them in the hands of the lucky winners. You shod reach out and see if they will send you footage. Would make such a cool vid 😎 Happy New Year lads
Dude if you can keep your stuff in stock I would have bought the fire steel, and the heavy duty Bushcraft knife. I guess you're too popular haha good on you
Hey guys! This new Fk looks awesome! I just had an idea, You guys tested so many knives from famous brands and makers from Europe, Asia and North-America. I think it would be an interesting video if you could find some knives made in South-America, Africa, Australia... I`m sure there are some unique ones. Maybe not as high quality, but you know a little different and special in some ways. Keep up the great videos and thanks for creating them! :)
Cool! I found them, I’ve seen those videos already actually, but I thought these are from the U.S. Thanks! Only 2 more to go then if you are up for it! Anyway all the best guys! :)
DANG! I've been waiting 2 months for your DBK TRC Apocalypse in Convex to come back in stock, but they were gone when I went to buy. Why don't they make more than 10?!
I've never owned a Fallkniven before but I like that hunter... I keep a lionsteel m4 in m390 steel in my hunting pack because it's the perfect size and I can put a razor edge on it before I go out for a few days and it's good other then maybe hitting it on my leather belt/fine side of a dc4... might have to pick one up for next year...
I’d really like your opinion on acrylic handles. I just got a BRK Ultralite bushcrafter. The only options available were acrylic. It’s beautiful but I’m concerned it won’t do well in cold/wet climates. I’m considering having it rehandled with micarta. Your thoughts DBK?
Now im not Dbk, but i think that any type of synthtic materials like acrylic is pretty good in cold weather. Just a tip. It doesnt hurt to research a bit more
Another entertaining video! I've owned the Taiga hunter ironwood for a few months, a great little knife and surprisingly versatile. Did your ironwood Forrester and Hunter have serial numbers on the blade spine?
I had this Forester in Ironwood and I was really disappointed because of the handle. I couldn't find a comfortable grip. Edges are too sharp, hot spots when working longer....even after sanding the handle edges...still uncomfortable to me. Sold it and bought a LT Wright GNS from it and had money left ;)
As much as I love some of lt wrights designs. His quality is crap compared to falkniven. If I was to choose an American brand, I’d go William Collins or Barkriver. Both are bomb proof and can take what the falknivens can. LT and battle horse just aren’t the same anymore.
@@pubplays368 I don't talk about Fällkniven Designs in general. I talk about the Forester in Ironwood. The handle is shit. I also own Barkis and WC-knifes...LTs quality is really good...but that wasn't the topic....safe some money buy the TF in ironwood and then we talk
@@Robert.Northwoods "safe some money" lmao. I bet a $500 dollar purchase is a lot of money for you isn't? Regardless, I stated that falkniven is of superior quality which it is. I even said I love some of LTs designs. His ergos are great. But his quality isn't. comprehension is key.
The thermorun handled ones are obviously stick tang but no info on how long and broad the tang is. No lanyard holes. The handles seem pretty uncomfortable and thin. Than I look at the prices and it's a NO for me. For some reason Fallkniven has a lot of these thin handles on their basic series and the only really nice one is the rubber handle on the old H1 in VG10 but that's no longer in production so it seems?

My TF2 arrived just yesterday. Thanks to you guys for making me aware of the new models, so far it seems great.

The TF1 is like the S1X but without the garbage warped thermorun scales. Shame they didn't keep the eye for a cord loop.
