Great find Alec, unusual to find a chapel in such good condition and not vandalised. So many of our chapels and churches have fallen into disrepair. You can see the pride that people took in these buildings back in the day. Now so many of these buildings have had the pews etc removed and replaced with comfortable chairs - while the original wooden seating is sold and more often found in back garden bars, all the rage since the lockdowns. Interesting to note all the signs etc in Welsh. At the beginning of the 1900s Welsh was fairly dominant, I have books about mines where instructions were in Welsh. Over time English became more widely spoken with Welsh speakers being more dominant in the West or North of the country. Now they are trying to promote the language, albeit in a more artificial way. Our preachers were real fire and brimstone types in the chapels, fearsome men. I loved that fire with integral bread ovens, could use that. Beautiful stills, they capture the nostalgic feel of the place. Thanks Alec, great explore.
Wow. Nice space. If they took out the central pews it would make a great concert/theatre space, venue with everyone able to see the musicians/performers from the sides or from above.

That is such a beautiful chapel! The wood is so rich and warm looking, and the design in the ceiling is so intricate! The touch of stained glass in the back was pretty! In the second hall, the wood ceiling was beautiful! As always, it’s a shame to see it just sit and decay! Thank you for getting pictures of it! They were great!
There is a channel four programme about this church. A couple bought the church and are turning it into their home and a community project,with pottery shop.

From a Sept 2022 news article:- A Grade II listed chapel which has been on the market for over a decade has finally been sold. xxxxxx xxxxxx, on xxxxxx xxxxxx in xxxxxxxxxxx, was owned by the Presbyterian Church of Wales. The town centre site, including the car park, was on the market with Tudor Estate Agents for £200,000. The chapel was originally built in 1862 and remodelled and enlarged in 1983. Hopefully such a beautiful building will be repurposed. It's Grade II listed status should help.
