- Heads-up. This is some extremely sappy, corny stuff. I'll be the first to admit I went way, way too far with this video. I'm not normally someone to get so emotional. I'm sure many will find all this silly. And I am a bit nervous about putting this out there. But these are my genuine feelings about Sonic. I wouldn't make hundreds of hours of videos about it otherwise. And to be honest, I was kinda hoping I might make people cry with this video. Let me know. Did I succeed?
Originally I was planning to make this video after the Unleashed story video. But I decided to just do it now. My hope is it's going to reach past my normal audience. So most viewers wouldn't even have the context of my previous videos anyway.
This is by far the most work I've ever put into a single video. I hope it paid off. I normally don't consider what I make to be video essays. This one is.
Thanks to everyone who contributed fan art for this video. Sorry to anyone who didn't make it in. I went with a first come, first served basis until I had as much as I needed. And I'm sure I missed some submissions. To be clear, something not showing up at the end does not mean I think it's not a valid expression of Sonic. I could only fit so much and picked things randomly from a large selection.
I honestly feel very conflicted about including Frontiers at the end. I like the game. But I do think it still mostly fails at delivering the true Sonic. Then again, I feel that way about most Sonic games.

Most of the music from this video was from Sonic Runners, btw. If you haven't, go listen to that game's soundtrack. It's incredible. And go listen to One Way Dream from Frontiers. It's a lovely song that holds a message from Sonic Team to the fans.
