    The hazardous substance that we are most concerned about in our work this week is hydrochloric acid. 🤓 What is yours?

      Check out our free COSHH Assessment course - safeti.com/courses/coshh-training-course/ - it covers SDS interpretation quite extensively. :-)

    would you please recommend me the best PPE especially a Face Mask for Sulfuric acid, Ferrolin and Sodium Hydroxide?

    • @Safeti
      @Safeti  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ahmed, we can't really provide specific advice via this platform I am afraid. That said, the best course of action to identify appropriate PPE is to perform a chemical risk assessment for the associated activities. This should account for the specific use cases of the hazardous substances you have mentioned. It sounds like you are using some highly hazardous materials, though the need and selection of masks or visors will depend on exactly how the material s are used and the form they are in. 👍

    One of the best run-throughs I have seen for Safety Data Sheets. They can be a minefield and tough to interpret. Keep up the great work!

    Acetone

    • @Safeti
      @Safeti  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing Sami! Acetone is quite commonly used in industrial applications. Not only is it highly flammable, but also a strong eye irritant and something that usually requires good ventilation and/or similar controls to minimise risks from inhalation of vapours. Workplace exposure limits may apply!😅

    portland cement😁

    • @Safeti
      @Safeti  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good one Hasan. Often something that is overlooked, that cement or cement-containing products can be very damaging to the skin/eyes (also to respiratory if in dust form).👍
