Anazing how far this software has come over the last few years. It was clear with version 10 that NLE features would be added and the Fusion page is awesome!
Went on a colour correction course a few months ago. Absolutely fascinating. Way out of my league on the technical front, but opened up a new level of respect for post teams I work with.
Coming from PP, this app is pretty amazing. The interface is really clean and easy to look at, and the features are pretty impressive. Oh yeah, the cost, at ZERO $, can't be beat.
since when is the tracker free? documents.blackmagicdesign.com/DaVinciResolve/20180404-10399d/DaVinci_Resolve_15_Feature_Comparison.pdf gpu acceleration too, it wont render as fast as the video stated
you dont need the keyboard and the free version has most of the features except for the collboration and remote editing features, but its still a great software even the free version
They usually make a pre-editing, in order to know which shots to send to be graded and composited, then after having them color-corrected and with fx they put them back in the timeline.
I've worked with AE for a few years now, and although it can do much, it's not nearly as powerful as DaVinci Resolve. This is a professional color grading software :)
I met you at exhibition show in London, and I think your presentation is great, it made me think again about getting the Resolve for my imac. You make it seriously cool and easy! Can we please have more of these, or some tutorials, so I can be sure to get in to it easy, so I can get it soon as possible.
I see keyboard shortcuts are too complicated, so you guys had to make Atari 11000 in order to operate your software, with a beast like that you can make movies in real-time. Said no one.
after effects is more for visual effects, but with the right plugins you can do almost the same job. Colorista II is not as "cool" as DaVinci but is a good start to work with and can do primary and secondary color correction or you can just try the Color Finess from Synthetic Aperture (it comes with After Effects CS4 and above). Color Finess is very powerful and very professional!
You import the video in the color grading software (DaVinci Resolve) and then you color grade it and export it to your hard drive. If you want to color grade clips individually. But I like to do all the editing first, and then when I have the whole movie in one clip, I import it into DaVinci and work from there. Much easier. That's of course all up to how you shoot, if you change settings or something.
aah, i just got into making soft rn and tNice tutorials is so helpful and your voice is so sootNice tutorialng btw! thanks for tNice tutorials tutorial
That...does not look like high end car commercial stuff...I mean that result...I haven't ever seen any commercial that blurs all the background at all, usually it is all clear, bit vibrant, and sharp, and elegant, like a car that is being presented, it never is forced for a viewer to look at the car by the visual effects, everything is always visible around.
It's funny how different the actual images are from the narration. The lady in black and white with the background in color - really? Because as far as I see, the grading is the same across the whole image. With the warm/cold shot the warm version gets played twice instead of first cold then warm (which would match the narration). And that "day for night" shot was more like "dusk for dusk".
The only way the car would had standout, is if it was another color, red, yellow, blue or even black but your car almost got lost with the grayness of the pavement cause the car as well are the same color...
Oh my god... That tracker just blew my mind!
Same!
NOT. FAIR.
dude

TNice tutorials is the channel that made start actually creating instead of being intimidated by the software. Thanks for a new form of therapy
I never really realised how much of a difference really good colour correcting software can do to a clip.

Super great video makes excited to learn more and get started! Love the "stay organized" motto !!

7 years and 7 versions later, this featureset is still pretty impressive - and all of it is for free.

30 grand for the keyboard and 1 grand for the software. I could almost buy a base Audi with that money...
+Metzger When you buy the controller, you get the software for free. Also there's a free version which has most of the features.
and a base Audi can't potentially make you your money back. 👍
Street racing XD
It's pretty cheap for production hardware
you dont need the keyboard and the free version has most of the features except for the collboration and remote editing features, but its still a great software even the free version

Indeed. When he showed off the panel I was legitimately expecting it to have a price tag in the $5000 range.

With a console, you can color grade much quicker and a lot more precise.
This is how professionals color grade movies in any software.
Oh my god
Absolutely incredible!
looking forward to learning from the rest of your videos. Subscribed!
"because DaVinci has the world's BEST tracker"
A little modesty wouldn't hurt.
It's a point of difference in a product offering video.
A little restraint of your commenting wouldn't hurt.
Are you being held at gunpoint?
Great information Brother ….
I like your presentation
Im still using ulead for video and acid pro v1.0b for audio ... way ahead of its time!

BIOSHOCKFOXX this is not about making a car commercial :) This is about the features of the software.
Blakk Bee Mac version seems to have so better support for certain midi devices. And not using the ASIO drivers has a lot to do with
