    Anazing how far this software has come over the last few years. It was clear with version 10 that NLE features would be added and the Fusion page is awesome!

    after effects is more for visual effects, but with the right plugins you can do almost the same job. Colorista II is not as "cool" as DaVinci but is a good start to work with and can do primary and secondary color correction or you can just try the Color Finess from Synthetic Aperture (it comes with After Effects CS4 and above). Color Finess is very powerful and very professional!

  • @Proctie1
    @Proctie1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You import the video in the color grading software (DaVinci Resolve) and then you color grade it and export it to your hard drive. If you want to color grade clips individually. But I like to do all the editing first, and then when I have the whole movie in one clip, I import it into DaVinci and work from there. Much easier. That's of course all up to how you shoot, if you change settings or something.

    That...does not look like high end car commercial stuff...I mean that result...I haven't ever seen any commercial that blurs all the background at all, usually it is all clear, bit vibrant, and sharp, and elegant, like a car that is being presented, it never is forced for a viewer to look at the car by the visual effects, everything is always visible around.

    It's funny how different the actual images are from the narration. The lady in black and white with the background in color - really? Because as far as I see, the grading is the same across the whole image. With the warm/cold shot the warm version gets played twice instead of first cold then warm (which would match the narration). And that "day for night" shot was more like "dusk for dusk".
