@@jooka2010 Graham hicks also has massive potential to win that event, honestly probably moreso than luke. He managed a comfortable 220 in full competition at the 2020 Europe's strongest man

This is the best I’ve seen Shaw in several years actually. I think he’s going all out to get his fifth.
I get the feeling if he doesn't make the podium this year, this might be the end of an era. Shaw Classic is taking off nicely and really at his age, Brian doesn't have too many more in him.

I think he realized being the biggest person is not the best anymore at worlds. He’s lost some weight. I think he has a great shot at getting it. Won’t be easy though with the likes of Alexis and Tom

@@MyNamesGT 5 groups of 5 and they won’t know who is in each group until they arrive IIRC. Top guy in each group/heats through 4 events moves on. The 2nd and 3rd guy in each group have a stone off for the 2nd slot for that group. 10 make the final, 2 from each group.

Because of Brian, I tried for the first time since I was a child, to lift myself off the ground with "monkey bars"...I did it! I pulled up and even did a couple of sets! (Perspective- overweight female using her own large weight{over 200 but under 300lbs} to build arm muscles...😳)

Yup. A layered mat, something like a 10mm neoprene top with a memory type foam under that with a more firm foam base all zipped up in a strong canvas cover.

@@marijn8138 he's done extraordinarily well with log and shoulder presses in the past. This video he did not perform as well and last year's WSM speaks for itself. I hope he does better this time

That's just it . If he did 100% 2.5 to 3 hours a day . He might pull top 5 in WSM . But if he REALLY trained he could beat the log WR he had the world record I think it was in 2015 or 16 . The American world record that is .

I wish I could work out with you guys. I have much admiration for you, Oberst, Hall, Best, and all the strongmen around the world. I remember watching guys like Magnus Samuelson & Magnusson and Phil Pfister compete and Savickis (probably spelled wrong) and even remember seeing the moments like Mariusz winning back to back when it was showing on ESPN2. You guys are who made me love the sport and hope to achieve the caliber you have. Just as watching Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman in bodybuilding, you guys inspire me.

I'll give Brian props though for looking like he keeps his weight easily outside of competition better than others. He is just a more naturally large man. Other's clearly look like they are pushing the edge of unhealthiness on competition day and could never maintain that size outside of it without health issues. I'm sure they do crazy things to compete but Brian always appears more naturally large, more easily. He's a beast.
