i don't care what any body says, this one of the best games of 2011. Amazing visuals and set pieces, smooth mechanics, and most of all an incredible sound track from begging to end!
2:00 feels so epic and heroic. Loved this game despite it being a tough beast at times. Muscle memory and sometimes dumb luck for the win. That bass line is so sick.
This game is truly great. When me and my friend first played this stage we couldn't help but laugh at each other fall into all the ludicrously placed traps and hard ass mini bosses that we faced in this level. We were in disbelief of how hard this game is. I love it it brings me back to playing Contra
I like how this level requires thinking on the fly, speed, platforming, etc. When I first made it to the boat after the falling ceiling, I thought I was done...then here comes the spiders, and boss lol...
yep the pianos be rockin with that mysterious SOTN vibe... haha he had to show Konami some love with that i guess when he composed for the game haha GGX meets castlevania >:D
@Fighter021 also an aim button (you stand still while you hold the button and you aim with every other key to shoot) and a fixed aim button (you can walk at any direction but your aim stands still at the direction you were aiming when you first pressed and holded the button) but that's pretty much it.
I never said that, did I? I never specifically referenced modern or retro. I'm just saying that Street Fighter's age means it should step aside and at least give a few other titles the benefit of being looked at. However, because of some of the stigmas attached to Street Fighter (Daigo, cliche iconic I-wanna-be-super-strong-for-no-reason protag, easymodo Hadouken spam, etc.), it gets an "Outdated" in my book. Not to mention its community is filled with masses to remind of CoD.
To me his sounds sort of like something in Caslevania, but this also to me sounds like something that'd appear in a Mega Man X game on the Playstation.
Ah ah ah. Don't have to buy it. And it isn't all that bad either. Less you're some conspiracy nutbar, then just don't use the damn thing. Also. How do you think those playstation plus price hikes are gonna feel?
I know this is a year old, but what part of his comment constitutes a conspiracy? Or are you starting a conspiracy about how there is a hidden logic behind his comment? Also, it's *ha ha ha. Moron.
I don't think its fair to say Street Fighter is garbage, but to lose to Hard Corps is a shame and I think also unfair. However, I think it did outlast the Street Fighter game as a Playstation Plus downloadable. I think its also unfair when people say Hard Corps is not a Contra game. Play Stage 7 and try saying it isn't a Contra game. *referring to crazy Elevator Missle shaft*
I love Mega Man, but this game is part of the Contra series. Mega Man has nothing to do with this game, or the game style. Sure, they both are side scrolling scooters, but CAPCOM would have gotten their asses sewed by Konami if they would have put Spread Shot in any Mega Man game. I understand you completely and kinda sorta agree (I hate FPS), but I'm just saying bad examples and they were not this game's iconic mascots. Bill "Mad Dog" Rizer and Lance "Scorpion" Bean are the correct ones.

Still one of my favorites. The graphics are kind of hit or miss for me, but the game itself is phenomenal and criminally underrated.
I know right? why did this game receive so much hate?
@@reppinseattle7974 It had to grow on me. But now I think it's probably the best Contra.
Almost 2022 and still better than most of game/movies soundtracks!
Almost 2023 and I still always play the songs in my head
Need to bring anotherone
Still this day

Yea, the 2 to 3 mintue mark is incredible.
Daisuke Ishiwatari is a GENIUS! Best at what he do!
That's Progressive and also Catchy
But still this one is Blazblue Music style
This one just gets better and better as you listen on.
"I hate spiders."
Mid 2024 and I'm still here!
U r not alone here, amigo
Best song in the game! Truly emocional and beautiful.

@Nightmare26 Playing through that whole level, I was like: "This is awesome. I am playing Castlevania with a gun."
and an incredible hardcore level desing that puts your fast reflexes to a constant test.
it's such a great game isn't it?
I love the organ in this song, gives it a classic rock feel
One of the best levels and one of the best songs. Has a more methodical feel to it, which is a needed break after the craziness of level 2.
Parts of it sound like Foggy Cave in the Darkness from the original Contra Hard Corps
Mid of 2022, and still better than most of game/movies soundtracks!
This one... is definitely different feeling. Almost reminded me of Sakuraba a bit.
2024 and still the best soundtrack eveeeeerrrrr!!!!!
Late 2023 and I'm still here.
@Nightmare26 The moment I first played this stage, Castlevania immediately came to mind.
2:26 fucking love that part
Been looping that part for quite sometime now. 2:26-2:51 🤤

Still awesome to listen this :)
My March Theme
Masterpiece
Oh, my bad. Thanks for the correction. Needless to say, the team behind the music is awesome.
Listening to this while reading the comments is hilarious.
@IronyNinja oh god i hear you there haha. even with sayuri that level is ridiculous.
The beginning of the song somehow remind me of Cemetary from Dracula X: Rondo of Blood
What's wrong with Rising Mode?
@joker112684 I got good memories of Contra, the one that stands out: after all these years I STILL can't beat level 1
@FighterO21 that would be cool, but this game's controls wouldn't really work too great with a keyboard
@Nightmare26 Nope. I'm getting it too. *looks around for Alucard*

It depends on what Castlevania you talking about. The good ones, or the shit they make now? But, yes. Good old school Castlevania indeed.
To me his sounds sort of like something in Caslevania, but this also to me sounds like something that'd appear in a Mega Man X game on the Playstation.
@FighterO21 yup that's pretty much it
@DarkSaber22 LMAO same story hear bro!! Contra has never been a joke. Your looking for a challenging game, you gotta pick this one
@FighterO21 no offense, but what else would it be on?
dat organ
Japanese Music Cool!
Let's get this game on Xbox One! Vote for Backward Compatibility.
Too bad PS4 is too busy copying DotEmu and making you pay for PS2 Emulation.
too bad microsoft is making you pay for that shitty Kinect

I was disappointed that it didn't win the award on the PSN it was nominated for. It lost to Street Fighter III alpha or something. Lame.
2 people apparently dont know what good music is
This is my second least favorite, right after the Cerberus boss theme
No.
