How well did the s90v hold up? Not looking to buy one and chip it.

I certainly don't use it for anything that would be considered hard use. But so far so good

@@CDNSHEEPDOG Aw, okay. Didn't like benchmade's s90v and l take my knives to work so I'll stick to cruwear and magnacut.

@deadvikingtrolls i can tell you I've already chipped my s110 manix 2... very smal and I've fixed it but it did chip

@@CDNSHEEPDOG Seems to me s90v is as high as you want to go, depreciating returns after that. Even that though is as brittle as 20cv/m390/204p, just with more edge retention. One of my benchmade 940's needed touched up every day so edge retention meant nothing.
The native 5 itself though I think may be spyderco's best knife. Best ergonomics choked up, strong but slicey blade, the back lock is clicky and suits the forward choil better than their other locks, no thumb ramp in the way. It's everything you need and nothing you don't. Perfectly accompanies my bigger, thicker knives.

@@CDNSHEEPDOG I tried to stay on manix 2. Have two in cruwear and one in $650 of custom titanium. At the end of the day its biggest problem is the lock. It warrants upgraded and requires two fingers to actuate due to the spring tension, troublesome when you're already fighting the curved butt of the knife. It's greatest strength is the downward angle the blade cuts at, the blade stays in what you're cutting. Manix 2 is top five for spyderco.

I just got mine today with the CPM. S110v in a very disappointed that there's no liners in it. No washers. And I paid $215 for it. Cheapskates.

Sorry to hear that, they made them to be light rather than fast that’s for sure
