- 2020 GIXXER 250 SF VS GSX 250R - DRAG RACE
I was having fun taking this two suzuki beginners bike for a test on which of these is faster. We had 4 laps and the result is consistent. At the same event, I had the chance to test the GSX-250R and despite its similar name, this two has quite 2 separate characteristics. Eventhough, they’re fun, easy to ride and very reliable. GSXR 250 produces around 25 bhps but is significantly heavier, Gixxer SF 250 makes around 26 bhps.
dude they killed the gsx250r and its dual cylinders it should atleast produce 30+hp geez plus the weight is around 180kg it is pretty heavy. you rather get the sf250.
That's not GSXR 250! It's GSX250R.. Suzuki does not make GSXR250..If they do, I'd be a game changer in the 250-300 segment.. GSXR is the flagship bike series of SUZUKI

That Gsx has a smaller sprocket than the original. This affects the acceleration of the bike.
Sup bro! May I ask where did you managed to get exhaust for your gixxer250? I've got such a hard time tying to find any parts for gixxer instead gsx250.

If Suzuki make GSXR 250(instead of GSX 250R), I'd a game changer! GSXR is the flagship bike series of Suzuki
The way you guys laughed, shows you are truly having fun. And great runs on both the bikes. Both would be great as sports tourers.
the gsx 250 r is for those who want that sporty style only and just a bit of confort to ride ( and i would instead prefer the twin to the single cylinder engine for that ).
The brand, if they want, got everything in their hands if they realy intend to do a proper gsxr on the 300cc - 400 cc market.
But there's already so muck bike on that range that i don't think they would even consider make once, and it makes in a way sense.
increase the hp to 30-32 and ill be very happy in current demesions. even though cuuurent is okay,

I'm so getting an SF now !!! I always thought that the R is faster with its 2 cylinders.
that 2 cylinder is an older suzuki Inazuma's engine and the engine on sf is a brand new unit so they increased the power output and also the single cylinder produces more torque so gets ahead faster👍

Hey! Im looking at getting this bike and had a question.
How much do you weigh and how tall are you. Im about 110kg, 180cm and wanted to see if im maybe to big for this bike. Heard that it is cramped, did you feel cramped on this?

Hey mate, I’m 173cm and 80kg and it feels I feel cramp a bit after 5 hours of riding with rest in between of course. I would recommend you test ride it first and try 2 cylinders with higher hp. You get used to this bike easily and you might find the power a bit down later on. I hope I answer your question

Strange, why is the R which is 2 cylinders slower than the single?
Power torque figures as well as weight is the reason. And It's GSX-250 R- touring type , not GSXR-250 the track type .
2 cylinders are more finesse than 1, wich means less vibrations but they are a lil bit slower to get on high rpm, gsx 250 r motor its same as inazumas, a bike that was made for city and touring purpose
One cylinder means more torque, more vibrations and two small cylinders just like inazumas means less vibrations and more softness, thats why KTM and yamahas MT only have 1, 2 or 3 cylinders, they are made for torque but not made for high revolutions as a 4 cylinders
i just bought an sf just running it in cant wait to give it the beans. So far i like the handling braking and sound but feels gearing a little revvy in 6th. certainly could reduce 500-700rpm at 100km/h may improve top speed a little and certainly economy. Also would like a higher shield.
I agree, its quite revey to get into 100kph and the windshield is too small but it is fun as I expected. I bet it’s more better to handle with better tyres on it

Yes, this is manual bike. Scooter bikes are considered auto bike. There are some bikes that are clutchless but still required changing gear manually. For my opinion, better to learn on manual and from there you can easily learn other types of bike

The naming of these two bikes is kinda confusing. They have both GSX names. I don't know why suzuki made two different GSX bikes. The thing is that the other one has a marketing name Gixxer250SF. And the irony is the GSX250R is marketed as "R" but it has lower power despite having twin cylinder. And the Gixxer250SF has only one cylinder but it has more power. It's mindblowing🤯😂
Yeah I agree. But I think the concept of this gixxer250SF is taken from GSX1000FA as the sitting position is not that sporty as gsx250r similar to gsxr1000 wherein the foot peg is slightly higher and sitting is more tucked in.
