ISTA specifies 165-Nm for all the hub ball-joints. My front bearing started by causing brake shimmy - and gradually moved on to feeling like an unbalanced wheel, before finally beginning to whir at speed ... all over the course of like 2 years (and this car's a high-mileing daily driver). Nice, easy-paced video to watch - great job, Marty.

"Don't worry about torque settings" yeah I'll remind you of that when your wheel falls off. You should really torque the bolts to the manufacturers recommended value.
Dildo 😂 it’s a high tensile strength multi-spline bolt not a torx bolt. But both these are specifically designed for higher torque, spread across more surface area to prevent rounding off. Which is a more common occurrence using a traditional hexagon bolt as they have only 6 small points to spread the load 😂 I assume you’re worried about future corrosion to and removal of those bolts with opting to change them out. But if you replaced them with the bearings as usually instructed, (most BMW parts replaced require this btw with the frequent use of stretch bolts) then they’d always be removable and fitted to the correct specs. A standard medium tension strength bolt wasn’t designed to do that job, so your wheel could pop off and cause a dangerous and costly problem 🤷🏼♂️🙄😂

You are using the wrong tools! These are NOT Torx but XZN Screws!
I usually cut the bolts comming out on wheel bearings like that, that way u wont have to deal with resistance from rust etc when unscrewing them.
