How did you cut the fabric out initially before sewing? Did you measure it or trace and cut?

I’m a newbie really confused on how to do the bindings. When sewing them are we on the inside or outside of shirt?

The first step is to sew the right side of the bias binding on the right side of the top so the outside of the top and after the stitch in the ditch is also from the outside☺️ Hope this makes it clear
