Now, this is a bag that 20-30 year olds would like ! They go vintage shopping . I would like to make one for the young women in the family , but I can’t find the nice canvas you sew with. I may have to take a long drive this summer to hunt for fabrics. I am not a fan of online shopping for fabrics….I like to feel the texture before I buy. Thanks for another great tutorial! As usual you do not disappoint…. 😉😉

I made this with all the same fabric (a USA states print woven cotton fabric)! I had so much of it left from a school course and no sewing machine in sight, so I handstiched the whole thing, lol it was so fun and the end result is super strong so far so thanks for the tutorial. You explain really well

@user-qd3tt9ff5g it went well. I did not use canvas I just used printed cotton. I could not attach the strap though because my machine wasn't strong enough. So I di the best I could doing it by hand.
I just made my bag, and the tutorial was so easy to follow, and my bag looks so professional! I'm so excited with how it turned out, especially since I don't sew much. Thanks so much for this great tutorial!
@_KimYumi_ I used canvas and reinforced all of my seams, and I can definitely say yes. It is really strong. Even with a lot of weight placed inside, there are no seams prying open. It all around feels like a really sturdy bag tbh. It might be different if you use a different fabric, but canvas does the job

you can hand sew something like this--will take more time and you might need to learn some techniques, but it is doable :) Just put on music or a podcast and sew away!

Love this bag! I made this for an iPad bag (iPad 11.5 x 9]. It fits great with room and pockets for phone and more things. I also like there were no stabilizers. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

isn't the strap length a bit small..i kinda feel it like that..also instead of letting it hang down could use as a cross body bag with larger strap..hey and today I stitched it and it came out well..thankyou for your clear instructions .❤Love from tamilnadu , INDIA❤

Но в моменте, когда подкладка сшивается с основной частью, не очень заметно, что ручка кладётся под крышку сумки, я практически оставила её, не запихнув под покладку! Having made this bag, I will say that it is quite "saggy" in reality and will bend your textbooks if you carry it on your shoulder (because of where the straps are placed)
I love this bag, so simple. I would make one minor change. The seam you left open on the inside. I know I'd be the only one to see it after it was top stitched to close but it would bother me lol. I would leave a small section of the seam between the outside and the lining open to turn the bag inside out. Then after turning it right side out, top stitch all the way around, this would close the opening. I like to do this top stitch twice around the top to give it more strength.

For me i would put buttons on the longer strap so it will be more adjustable 😊 thank you for the instructions!
