isn't the strap length a bit small..i kinda feel it like that..also instead of letting it hang down could use as a cross body bag with larger strap..hey and today I stitched it and it came out well..thankyou for your clear instructions .❤Love from tamilnadu , INDIA❤

@user-qd3tt9ff5g it went well. I did not use canvas I just used printed cotton. I could not attach the strap though because my machine wasn't strong enough. So I di the best I could doing it by hand.

you can hand sew something like this--will take more time and you might need to learn some techniques, but it is doable :) Just put on music or a podcast and sew away!

I made this with all the same fabric (a USA states print woven cotton fabric)! I had so much of it left from a school course and no sewing machine in sight, so I handstiched the whole thing, lol it was so fun and the end result is super strong so far so thanks for the tutorial. You explain really well

@_KimYumi_ I used canvas and reinforced all of my seams, and I can definitely say yes. It is really strong. Even with a lot of weight placed inside, there are no seams prying open. It all around feels like a really sturdy bag tbh. It might be different if you use a different fabric, but canvas does the job
Now, this is a bag that 20-30 year olds would like ! They go vintage shopping . I would like to make one for the young women in the family , but I can’t find the nice canvas you sew with. I may have to take a long drive this summer to hunt for fabrics. I am not a fan of online shopping for fabrics….I like to feel the texture before I buy. Thanks for another great tutorial! As usual you do not disappoint…. 😉😉

so i'm a 2nd year fashion student and i made this for my bestie and it turned out SO WELL, it didn't take too long, really easy to adjust the size and you can basically use any fabric that does not stretch (: i made the strap adjustable and put a zipper pocket inside, which my best friend loved. he uses it for work and free time instead of a backpack now. i recommend!!
