Full Paint Job & Full Modification // 2002 Acura RSX Type-S DC5 (Episode 3)

- In this episode of this series, we get a full paint job out of the way and move forward with some OEM and Aftermarket enhancements. We started off with a set of S3 Coilovers along with a full Cat-Back Revel Medallion Exhaust System. A set of 18" Regamaster will cover the new department. Then we finished off with an OEM Spoiler, a set of Brand New OEM DC5 Type-R headlights and JDM OEM Emblems.
On the next video, we will be installing some additional OEM exterior enhancements along with a BBK kit to compliment our ongoing styling.

I've decided my daughter's first car will be an RSX. I bought a base RSX new off the lot in 2002. Sure, a type S would be better, but God, that car was amazing to me as a 19yo. I want my daughter to feel the same way.

The first gen front and rear looks good and it’s under appreciated, looks more like a Honda in the 1G instead of an Acura, Its cool you kept it original and you didn’t convert to the refresh front and rear.

When I was younger I wanted the body kits and aero with the crazy aggressive track stance. Now I just like OEM+++ with solid wheel and tire set ups. Crazy how our taste buds change even with modding cars when you age.

Awesome car but I think the original 235 tires looked better on the Regamasters. Possibly a slight shave not rolled would've accommodated it but I get the sentiment of not wanting to modify the body panels like that.
235’s definitely look better. I run 245/40’s on a 17x9 +35 and don’t rub at all, they should’ve been fine

Agree. They should have slapped on the type R wing…that mid spoiler is mostly seen on the base models RSX…

That is the ugliest spoiler you can possibly choose in my opinion
disagree, I think this spoiler is subtle but stylish. Would much rather have this or no spoiler than the dc5 type R wing. Personal opinion I suppose.

Just personal opinion, but i liked the wheels that came on the car better. White wheels with a silver car looks odd to me.

I don't have this Integra but I always had a question about the headlights & their shape, I wondered if it was only the front bumper you have to change if you don't like the roundings, now I see the whole thing together with the optics has roundings😂 I still don't know which one I like better - pre facelift or the facelift version😂😂 probably both☝😊
such a shame that the current integra shares 0 DNA with the old integra or rsx. seems to me like the prelude concept should have been the integra.

It's an Acura RSX type-s. But in JDM and some Euro countries it was released as an integra and there was a type R trim. The badges are just for swag.

HID in a halogen reflector housing🤦♂️ car looks amazing though!
Lexus put HID in a reflector housing as well D2R, oem HID bulb for reflector housing.
That's how the Type-R came stock
They worked well, and keep in mind, they are 20 years old technology
