Empedocles (A History of Western Thought 5)

This is part five of the series, "A History of Western Thought," on the philosopher Empedocles. This thinker was the first to try and reconcile the views of both Heraclitus and the Eleatic philosophers such as Zeno and Parmenides.

The entire world of mainstream science has adopted Empedocles’ solution. Newton reformulated Love and Strife as Gravity and Inertia in his Principia.
Modern science also promotes Empedocles’ Corporeal Pluralism, stating that all there is the material and presenting different levels of distinct “elements”:
- Periodic Table
- Parts of a atom
- Quarks, etc.
Classical scholasticism had a focus on Aristotle. Newton’s alchemical research dethroned “the Philosopher” and replaced him with Empedocles’ blueprint.

Dress yourselves nicely, parrot the Egyptians & call it western thought. Even Plato was not allowed in the mystery school until 54 yrs of age; his degree of consciousness was too low. His disciples made mockery of it all especially Aristotle.
