Thanks Richie. I picked up my Felony this past weekend. Batteries came this evening so I was able to tune the brakes tonight. Again, thanks for the heads up👍🏽
Cheers mate , just got mine and straight away I did a little putt down the hall and thought to myself not enough brakes , so I saw the knob on the remote and thought job done , so catching your tutorial was absolutely lucky , and thanks for the easy explanation.
You're gonna lock the wheels if you brake hard at speed with the brakes set to 100/100... That's why they're default to 75%. You can lock the wheels at that setting too if the surface isn't super grippy. Modulation is the key.
Gareth I've owned an infraction since the day they came out, the brakes are an issue, you can leave them at 75% but please don't come back to me when you rip that front splitter off. At 80mph you need all the breaking you can get as the car probably weight 16lbs+ with the batteries in. A car pulls out in front with no warning on a speed run and trust me you want 100% you won't care about locking the wheels at that point. You can dial it down on the transmitter, but why not dial it down from 100% not 75%?
@@rushgush The brakes on an RC work at the motor level. The motor stops turning which stops everything, hence the wheels lock. How did you think a drag brake worked on an RC car?
@@DriftomaniacsRC too bad with the fires there, really scares me. Even here in SLC we had so much smoke in the air that we where not able to see the mountains from the valley any more. Are you interested in testing my Carbon Fiber Parts set for the Felony?
Brake will depend on each person i run mine full speed and when i brake it stops perfect any harder brake it wood lock up and spinout mine still set at factory setting i like it on tht setting
You should try adjusting it to 100% and you'll see that it's night versus day, or no crash versus hitting the curb. You've not tried it on 100% but I assure you if you do you'll love it, and left as stock at somepoint you'll regret it...
Hi Rich, i was wondering about the settings you demo here. You have entered the brake settings and it beep 5 times which indicated the settings was on 75%. You mentioned pressing the set button so it will beep 6times which indicates the brake setting is now in 100% settings. You mentioned to press the set button again and it starts to beep 7 times before you exit the setting mode. IS it suppose to beep 6 times or 7 times?
Just the info I was looking for, I am also wondering does the location of the dial affect the outcome while setting up with the bind / set / calibrate functions? Meaning when you set/bind/calibrate and you have the switch all the way left to low or all the way right to high and you do the Neutral/Throttle/Brake/Left/Right settings will it matter in those situations and result in different/improper settings?
it's preference really. full braking ( tires skidding) is never the quickest way to stop, hence abs breaks. so just cuz you lock the tires up quicker doesn't really do anything as far as stopping faster . I suggest people turn down breaking levels if they are just going to hammer on the break to stop, and will stop faster. like others said, it's just modulation and preference to how sensitive you want that to be. this guy seems insistent he is right now matter the comments..so 🤷
Okay then you’ve not driven one stock out of the box or if you have you’re probably still repairing it! The stock brakes are crap if you are happy 😊 to see others crash their cars that’s fine but I’m not as I care about my viewers and don’t want to see them write off hundreds of dollars. So people can follow your advice or follow mine and brake safely. It’s nothing to do with locking the tires up early??? Who mentioned that not me! Get a reality check about a known issue…..
I would personally tune the ESC brake and reverse speed settings and leave the brake rate at 100% on the TX. When you adjust the brake rate on the TX, it affects the reverse speed too
Good information Richie 👍👍 Don't know if I will be getting one of these but who knows what the future has in mind for anyone? Have a Great week and Stay Safe My Friend ✌️😎👍 HFLPRCing 🌟 RCFAM4LIFE
If you are watching this and wondering if you should do it, JUST DO IT. massive thanks to this guy. The brake in esc is super important

Thanks' for Shearing Richie. That's the best free mod nice.
First couple things my father and I did was up the brake setting, max the throttle punch setting, and then rip a fat burnout
Awesome, I just ordered one. Glad I found this video
Appreciate this. Getting my Felony tomorrow. I would’ve been that guy to mess it up. 😅

how would u “lock” the wheels when its electric braking ? there’s no disc brakes to lock up.
@@DriftomaniacsRC That's smart, never thought of that. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for this!
Top tip Rich 👌 Thanks for sharing.
Good info Richie!
Thanks for the great advice.👍👍👍👍
Is the felony easy to drift with harder rubber ?
From all the videos i have seen it looks very hard to hold a nice drift
Its not terrible just takes time to get used to pretty equivalent to the infraction
Top tip haven’t seen anyone else do this 😎👍🏻🇬🇧
Awesome thank you!
That's crazy...wonder why they changed it
Thank you sir
thanks I really got a lot of info from your video!!
Yep, but I only popped off 4.
Thanks again, I just did this to mine and I'm heading to the parking lot 👍👍
Glad it helped

THE DIAL SETTINGS AREN"T 100% braking at 100% is just braking at 75%
I'd put red locktite on them front screws and it ain't movin
🤣🤣🤣🤣 all my friends infraction be sliding on breaking my felony be stopping on the dime

Or you could learn to drive better on an appropriate road before you go out and buy something so powerful.
That's true to an extent but if the car brakes better then you have more confidence and you'll drive better
I dunno bout you but u have NEVER have had mine set at 100% are u nutz....does fine at 75% if ya drive right
