The ESC is crap. Had mine for 1 month. Went through 2. Friend of mine same car. Went through 3. On constant backorder from HL. Just upgrade. 160 amp been work fine no issues.
Good vid fella, think id drop pinion down or try a better battery(higher C rating) or just better quality battery. i use zees 2s 80s, zees 3s 80c,zees 4s 100c and dxf ithink they are called 4s 130 c and can tell a diference. bad soldering joint ? few ides for ya ! gained a new subscriber, hope to see good things bro 👌
The esc has limited program options.. you might be dropping too much voltage at full throttle and geared up like that. . Unfortunately with these firma esc's you can't set the low voltage cut off. ..at least with mine. It cuts out at like 3.85volts .
Its the batteries 9r possibly esc. Same issue with my limitless. The issue does not happen with my 120c smc 8000mah packs unless lvc. But does with my 10000 90c packs. That esc might be esc amp limited. If you haven't solved your problem yet it's one of those two indefinitely. If you throw a max 5esc the problem will probably disappear altogether.
My ESC was doing the same thing I change my receiver I change my radio I’m gonna try it again if it does it again I’m just gonna pull that spectrum system out and put something else in there
Just got my felony and i think the system is crap so im going to upgrade to 8s and im going with castle motor and a XL2 ESC and get them high speed runs im looking for.💯💯💯💯
You need a big battery for 30t like I would say no less then 6000mah and no less then 60c I run my 5000 spectrum 100c it never hits any cut off but if I run a cheaper battery with 50c it will do same just remember your motor can only do a set numember of rpm so when we change are pinion we only change how fast it hits peak then esc at some point will hit max amps that's the rpm causing it to cut
The low voltage cutoff is too high on these ESC at 3.6v per cell . So you can only get 2 or 3 passes before the pack gets down to 10.8v under full load. It should have been programmed from the factory at a 3.2v per cell so it won't prematurely hit lvc.
i have a single battery with custom turnigy setup on traxxas slash? you recomend i get a larger battery? from my 6.0 11.1v? it cuts out at full throttle too
My infection 2.0 is doing this with 5000 50c and 5000 100c smart batts. I'm trying to figure it out. No temp issues just any full throttle action. Looking for insight....
Horizon said to recalibrate esc and transmitter to solve this issue. I didn't do this as of yet because I mainly bash and it performs great when not speed running. I have other rc's for that.
@@danrchobbies8994 horizon might of told you that but let's be honest, they would tell you anything to get you to think its everything but the equipment. But I had the same issue using a different esc than you. I'm using the max 6 and had the same issue cause my motor on 6s is close to the max amps the esc can handle, And that doesn't include a weight to gear ratio chart for my setup. In rc either your batteries cant produce the voltage its asking for or the esc cant handle the amps period. And you might be the exception of your batteries and esc cant produce the amps or the voltage the motor is asking for based on gearing and weight. When the batteries cant produce the voltage the motor ask for that's what can kill the esc cause the voltage ripple.
Hi did you find out what was causing this problem? I’m having the same issues with my infraction v2. I got a max 6 on its way but I was only running 50c lipos

Mine does the same. Will probably try 100c.

With that gearing? *46s/30p* .... Powerhobby 100C, SMC 120/150C or GensAce Basher Pros 100C & definitely add a good cap *8S* 👍🏾
i have a felony have no issues with mine i have 27 pinion and 40 t limitless spool
i have same issue but with the 150 esc on a vendetta and still cuts out its better if i roll it on but shuts off at max
To this day I have not solved this problem. I think it's just built in the esc to do so. Protection program.

Remember esc cut off for temp's it will not go again until you turn it off and back on

Hey I have a problem with mine it turns by itself when I push the throttle and it shuts off by itself what is going on

try to set your motor timing to level 3 or 4
It will start cutting out at 21 tooth. The answer is right at beginning.

AVC dose cut your throttle down on top in try ease into throttle full dont slam on it

...& possibly upgrade to an 8S ESC as well? *last resort*

Geared to high. Too many revs above 50k. Motor is programmed to save you from yourself.
You need a better esc and better batteries ,spektrum is junk
