Another thing on terminal sliders, for some of them, right clicking will put it back to default. For example, if you move the rotor’s velocity to 5 and then want to stop it, you don’t have to ctrl-click and enter 0, you can just right click and it will reset to 0.

When you were showing off the tip with the sliding doors and pistons there's a compact looking turret at the back of the platform, how did you get the gatlings connected like that without having to use a conveyor junction? Also would it be possible to set sensors in a way, that if turrets would be shot of the pistons, they would retract automaticly and a blueprint and welder would be waiting to renew it and send it back up again? That would be in my eyes an effcient and neat looking system, wouldn't you agree?

    • @BlackArmor718

With the hinges being a subgrid, you can't weld them unless the projector is on that grid, and there isn't really space for it. Sensors also don't have a setting to detect if a grid takes damage. But I like your thinking

@@BlackArmor718 well, it’ll pass to the small grid, large hinge but that’s a small grid large conveyer port and the guns use small conveyer ports. So while they’ll attach to the surface of the hinge part, they won’t be conveyed to get ammunition.
It looks VERY tight and good, so if it is conveyed I’m wondering what block/s you’ve used to achieve it. Otherwise I’m guessing it’s just built for appearance sake, which is fine.

I have not played in a month or 3, just picked it up again and appearantly im struggeling with something. Maybe you can adress this in a video or something but. If i for example weld up simple decoy missiles I dont get them to tie up to the launch timer on the base. Also struggled with the same issue in a different scenario. I tried making a tank factory long time ago but couldnt get the turret or gun to attach to the rotor by itself.

I don’t quite follow what you mean by “tie up to the launcher timer on the base” If you want 2 parts of a rotor to attach then you need to set up a timer to attach them when they are close enough. I’ll address this in a video.

Small-grid batteries (3x3x2) have the lowest cost, volume and weight per unit of energy stored.
    COST:
Large-grid batteries are 4 times more expensive and have only 3 times more energy.
Small-grid small batteries have 20 times less energy and are only 10 times cheaper.
*Cost based on power cells, the main limiting component of batteries.
    VOLUME: (and energy density)
    L-g b 15.625m³
    192kWh/m³
    S-g b 2.25m³
    444.4(4)kWh/m³
    S-g s b 0.125m³
    400kWh/m³
If you need to make a massive battery pack in your base, use small-grid batteries. (Normal, not small.)
UNLESS, you're worried about CPU, then use large grid, because all battery types have the same PCU/block.

    • @Anvilshock
      @Anvilshock 2 ปีที่แล้ว

How the fuck does "20 times less" even calculate? What's "1x less" in the first place so that you can have 20 of it?? Also, there's a difference between "3 times more" and "3 times as much". "3 times more energy" would mean LGB have 4 MWh of capacity when in fact they only have 3 MWh.

I don't know if this series would be the right format, but when you showed the probs tankwires and such, i was thinking, they sure look fine, but what about actual PVP relevant builds? Are they that? At some point i myself would like to join a PvP server and don't want to be messed up by everyone all the time hrhr as it often goes on PvP servers for noobs like myself. So what i am asking is, if you would be so kind and include marked PvP relevant builds, could be turret solutions or if that works, tankwires, i have no clue what actually is pvp relevant/workable. I appreciate this series sofar and find it higly educational for me, i am just wondering besides making things look good, which definetly is also something i invest time into, that the most effective builds in other PvP survival games i played, do not nessarily look so good and aslong *i don't know what is actually really effective in pvp* i can't really work on improving the style as i get blown to pieces by my opponets ^^.

f.e. the trenches they look beleivable and depending on how an enemy would aproach me i guess they are also of use in a static defense position. I but don't know if this is a thing i should build right from the start as very important defense structure or something i put there for eyecandy later on as i don't have the experience yet. (erm *blush* i wouldn't mind blueprints for them aswell hrhr, i just made a tunnel BP and it took me roughly 7 hours to get it right, including a concrete mod i had installed which as i now learned in your video maybe obsolete ^^ due to concrete being added)

PVP in this game is heavy armor cubes surrounding cockpits covered in turrets. You just sit there next to the enemy and hope you kill all their turrets before yours die. There's no reason to make anything look nice in a fight because aerodynamics/radar isn't a thing. That's why I don't care for pvp here and just treat it as a building simulator.
