Could you explain the choice of 12 coils on the stator for 14 magnets per rotor please ?

Hi, its pretty common configuration. Its called 12N14P motor or 12 slot/14 pole. This 3D model is just concept, it should work fine but its far from optimal. Brushless motor theory is very complicated..
