Oh man Great video I'm from NY, here for 7 years Disliked Manila for density and smoke pollution Settled hour away in mountain....much better Good luck
It’s greediness mate for our tremendous low salary. I’m so grateful that God brought me in Australia. As a hospo employee I can travel overseas, in the Philippines it’s so impossible mate. One day I’ll put up a business and see how much I can earn and if I’m earning more than enough I’ll pay my employees a descent wage.
Visited Philippines last month and I catch up with my best friend in Makati, it’s so annoying waiting for more than 2hrs for her. I’ve been living in Australia for 4yrs now and obviously I adapted the on time catch up😂
Thanks for insight about the pros and cons of the Philippines. Please check out vlogs The Philippines Truth and The Philippines facts. I'm happy that you are happy living in the Philippines.
My biggest thing is in being over 6' is I always seem to create a spectacle for people watching me get into the back of a jeepney. Lots of laughs and smiles at my expense. And the drivers hate that I take up "too much space". Even paying double does not seem to help, as they still complain about only being able to fit 10 on that side instead of 11, even with the lost seat paid for. One thing that contributes to the perpetual lateness is the traffic is often close to impassible. Driving from the airport to where we were staying may take 40 minutes at 3am and 6 hours after 7am.
can i just add something about filipino time? it seems like they tend keep the pace slow, as a filipino living in australia, i just realised how slow i walked, and i thought wow is this how slow i am? when i see australian walk or do task, it "chop-chop", everything is rush and almost like running. my 7 steps is like 2 only steps on them. now i can sympathies how western people sees filipino time and its not great at all
Yahh plenty of people has nothing but we are happy but a big WHY you want to live here in fact we are not like your life that you brought up but you have plenty of negative thoughts ..😢
I was wanting to go to PH for around 4 years now. Earlier this year, I booked a flight from Thailand to PH, bought my travel insurance and then I found a place online to rent and this person I was going to rent from ended up scamming me. This rubbed me the wrong way big time so I cancelled the flight and flew back home instead. I've also talked to several Filipina's online in the past and all of them asked me for money except one and the one that didn't ask for money told me she loved me the first day of talking to her so I obviously blocked her. I've already had a lot of bad experiences and I haven't even entered the country yet. It makes me not want to go there now to be honest, it's really too bad unfortunetly 😔
That's really disappointing but I hope u would still come and experience the country for yourself. What will be the purpose for u coming to the country? Others here might be able to help, I for one. You are very right, be very careful when to talking to ladies, not all but almost all that will approach you will definitely want to scam you. Always be on your guard just as anyone going to any foreign country.
@emtitan88 You're right, I still do need to come, I'm sure it will be better in person, I'm aware that Filipino's as a whole are the friendliest people in the world, I need to see this my myself. My purpose for coming is I love Asia compared to the West, I prefer the weather here over Canadian weather, I hear all of the time how good the people are, I work online so I can easily come there, I like the visa system there. I've spent most of the last 2 years in Thailand but the language barrier and visa situation make it difficult for me. Being able to stay in PH for up to 3 years at a time is very enticing to me. I would like a potential future partner to be from PH as well. I'm 36 and I haven't found the right person for me yet, hopefully that time comes soon 😊 By the way, I appreciate you offering to help 🤗
My family takes "showers" in the rain, but we're in the countryside.

I don't take Jeepneys at all. I'm 6'2 so feel your pain. Tried them once and literally had to sit with my head at my knees 😅
Weather;PI time; food; cost of living are boring topics we know already from the air we breathe. You do occasionally get real though.
Hello
The Scots at Edinburgh have always been welcoming to me. I’d just like to return the favor.
Two countries know for their hospitality no doubt 👍
I’d enjoy getting together to exchange perspectives of our two countries.
@@lazyartist7682 unfortunately mate I'm in Cebu for a week. Hope you enjoy Makati!
@@Craig_in_Asia Too bad, maybe next time. enjoy Cebu.

You won't find true filipino culture in Manila, you'll find it in the province where people are more laid back haha.
what?? you won't find Ph culture in Manila?
so what culture are we adapting? what else do you know - tell us more about it?
C'mon educate us. 😂

Yeah it's a pretty common story sadly. However I'd encourage you to visit and not let the bad things stop you from experiencing such a great country 👍

first of all, you are talking to people online. why? dude, youre not even doing it right.
@earlyreader4578 In my post, I said, "In the past" I don't do this anymore. I agree with you
Are you sure about the things you said?
Are you really describing The Philippines?
Sounds like you are describing an African Country.
dont be blind. it is true, you probably never even been to africa.
I'm incredibly sure 👍
