This is another great video - I had never done hard shoe Irish dancing before - gave up soft shoe when I was 12! Now 50 and bought hard shoes during lockdown and have discovered dancing again. Tried the longer early videos but they were a bit too advanced - these bite sized ones are great. As a teacher myself, I appreciate you patience and clarity - you also show that even the experts can miss a rhythm which is fab!
I have always liked the look of Irish dancing so as part of my retirement learning and having just found this channel, I decided to give this a whirl. As a person new to dance, I am loving the challenge in trying to create nice leg lines and keeping all the steps even. I am uncertain about the mid air heel click as I can feel myself getting tense as it draws near and then it is a major miss. Thanks for the videos to teach this treble reel.
Aw I'm so happy to hear this! Welcome to Irish dancing! The heel clicks are tricky, but over time the muscle memory takes over! Try working on the "pass" while sitting, working on the turnout and pointing needed for the heels to connect while passing through!
I wanted to be able to do St. Patrick's Day Trad Set by St. Paddies, life got in the way but I can use this series to keep preparing. There's always next year 💚😊
Ok ! I still need some practice over those steps and especially tying them together but I’m getting there. Steps 1&2 are ok (though It’s still slow, I need to increase the tempo) but 3&4 are still sloppy. Well, practice it is ! And Again, thanks soooooo much for those tutorials. Going over each step slowly is incredibly helpful !
Hello Tyler can you do some training videos slow so I can fellow the steps better Irish dancing is new to me please luv all your videos all the parts are my favourite
I love this treble reel! Thanks for teaching! Are we allowed to dance it whenever we want including performances? Or is it only meant for ourselves at home?^^
