The original bassist is Brian Marshall. The original group members are Scott Stapp, Brian Marshall, Scott Phillips and Mark Tremonti. The bassist did leave the group and substitute bassist were brought into the group. Mark, Flip and Brian formed Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy. Scott Stapp and Mark have also had successful solo careers. CREED (all of the originals) has reunited and are doing 2 cruise music festivals in April 2024 called Summer of ‘99 and a North American tour. I will be on the first cruise in April and will be meeting the band. (I am beyond excited!!). For Christmas I asked my kids for tickets to their show July 26th in Gainesville, VA. I have seen them 5 times and taken both of my children to see them as well. I never understood all the hate towards Creed but there are new fans that have found them and love them. Also, Mark Tremonti is a beast!!
Great pick Cathy. Love this band and I’m not a big fan of a lot of music from that time period. Mark Tremonti’s guitar playing always made me take notice. A very good musician. You’re thinking of the band Alter Bridge that was formed with Myles Kennedy, minus Scott. Good news! Creed reunited again this past summer and I think they are planning a tour. They do give you that feeling, don’t they? 😊
