Pilot Pete and the ladies arrive in Peru, where Madison gets significant screen time for the first time in a long time! Plus, our legal eagle Kelley takes a villainous turn with some very out-of-character commentary, and in a new layer of meltdown, Victoria F. freaks out at Peter for freaking out. most likely. but kelley is not bachelorette lead material in the slightest. she is level-headed, but we saw nothing of her personality & she seems so bored with this entire process. she did put down the other women excluding the obviously edited “im an attorney the other girls what are they” i don’t think they want her as bachelorette.
Those voice overs were soooo choppy and you could tell those were just single words that the producers cut and pasted together to make her look bad. It was so obvious. All it did was make me like her even more! Producers don't want her as Bachelorette because she won't play their game, would be honest with the guys she's not feeling it with, and she would never pretend to like someone she just isn't into. The producers need someone they can control and will do what she's told. They had to make her look bad because she's obviously the only possibility from this season and they just really want Hannah B. to be their lead again.
they edited a lot of what kelley said cause lots of times when she said something a bit harsh or rude you never saw her say it but i still love her cause let’s be honest she didn’t lie 🤷🏽♀️

Victoria F. won't even make eye contact, her coy behavior is irritating. She totally gaslights him in this episode, basic deflection move. Also, they did Kelly wrong. That was so edited to make her look bad. Peter is afraid of a confident women who doesn't need his validation. Hannah Ann admitted she's never been in love in the past, I think age doesn't matter in all people, but definitely for her. Her list seemed too staged for me, she put the cherry on top. I like Madison, I'm not sure Peter would be where he is now if she told him all her religious/virgin gems early on.

Girl knows how production leads you down a path, to say the cattiest things, about your "competition". Do we need to review her ITMs from the Badlands, where she went off about Kelsey?
I feel like ABC straight up doesn't see anyone from this cast, as a contender for the next Bachelorette, and as such, they're all getting a villainous spin. Kelly *might* have been an option, on paper, but then they realized, girl is way too grounded to buy into the franchise, even a smidge.

Operative word being CAN. I don't believe it should always be hard, but it certainly is hard sometimes and not fun sometimes. However, that's far from all that a relationship is/should be. My marriage is hard work, but there certainly are easy weeks or months where it all just flows well and it's all lovey dovey. It's the value of the easy and fun times that pull you through the harder times. If it's just hard, both parties end up miserable and exhausted.

I'd just like to say Lauren is the best at what she does in covering this show because she bases everything she says off of it being a SHOW. I had some serious Deja Vus this episode in relation to Hannahs season: Madison is Tyler: great easy date, everything’s nice and glorious. Natasha is mike: 1on1 going really well, but then in the end gets send home. Even Kelsey comments on Natasha being sent home is a good thing for the other girls, just like Luke P. Said the same when mike left. Then the 3on1 with Kelly being really relaxed and sure she gets the rose only to be sent home, and the ‘immature’ person gets the rose, just like it was with garret and Luke P.

I miss the days the Bachelor at least had some more mature women on it. Now it's 23 yr old girls who write lists called "What I like about him" with little hearts dotting the i's. Nothing wrong with that, but oh so high school. We used to be able to fool ourselves that maybe the people would actually get married because they were at that stage of life. It's now more of an elaborate dating game show, with no illusions of marriage because the people are really too young and inexperienced. If this is what the show wants to be, that's fine, but get rid of the "proposal" thing at the end and be honest about what the show has become.

@@goosebump801 I agree! Guilty pleasures, I watch AU Bachelor/ette and Married at First Sight. I think the AU Bachelor is better because they don't expect a proposal AND I like the casting of the women! They are usually very nice, supportive of one another and come across as real people,. I live in the U.S. and watching the U.S. Bachelor makes me sad for women here as it portrays them as all catty,competitive, very insecure and Barbie Dolls. The U.S. version does do more international travel though, which I like. On another note, The AU Married at First Sight actually doesn't legally marry people and while it is also like watching a train wreck, like the U.S. version, it doesn't take itself too seriously and is FAR more entertaining:)

I don't see any connections between Peter and any of the girls. I really think he ends up with Hannah B. I read some comment that said that once Peter understood how difficult it was being the lead, he finally understood why Hannah B. was confused with her emotions. If you go back and watch Peter with Hannah B. during Hannah's season, he is smiling so much more than he ever has on this season.

Thank you. I have been saying this since day one. I love Madi, but expecting him to not have sex with someone is just mind boggling. You are not his only relationship. He has emotional deep bonds with other girls too. We know from Hannah's season that he is a sexual person. That intimacy is something he needs. Not saying that he couldn't remain a virgin for Madi after he picks her, but he hasn't chosen anyone yet. He doesn't belong to anyone. I know I will get hate for saying this, but if she does leave or won't be with him because he is with another girl, that is pure selfishness and a bit narcissistic. I had a problem when I heard the clip after the first episode and I still do. I just feel like their faiths do not line up and her giving him ultimatums, if the clips are indeed not taken out of context, was just not okay. I think she is an amazing person and will be perfect for someone, just not Peter. I do almost 100% believe he will pick her though. This season has been very predictable and her being the frontrunner has been obvious since the wedding date.

Number one drive for Peter is looks, no matter how much he tries to come across as deeper he's wiener-driven above all. He'll be forgiving to everything else when it comes down to it. He's weak enough that it'd never work with Kelley because he can't feel smarter or superior (or drooled on) by such a strong, successful woman and he needs perpetual validation... hence, why he's down to the youngest, hottest ones, mess or no mess. Madison is the smart choice, but who knows if he'll figure that out.

Oh, Lauren- you are a goddess! You make all of this make sense! yes- Madison is right on target and right on time to share her deep faith with him- right before the hometown. Good for her! I expect that Peter really is falling for her and might be realizing- he's got to face her family- and they might not be thrilled with this windmill guy who's dating so many women. I hope they grill him. I think Kelsey- is really a sweet lady and your comment about the smoky eye was brilliant! As for Kelley- it is clear to me that she was subjected to an edit to try and throw some shade on her to justify that he sent her home. she was too smart and too savvy for this endless drama- she is light years ahead of him in terms of maturity and insight. Peter seems to be drawn to damsels in distress and women who are a lot of work. He appreciates crazy- dear God. I really hope he figures out that Madison is the only one who is steadfast and truly loves him. and his family loves her!
